The Gish Gallop, how do you deal with it?

Glishy Gallopy Objectivist bla bla. Not every well-reasoned argument needs to be bound in a book for it to hold water. I’ve seen plenty of overly verbose works that don’t get to the heart of the matter, every novel by Ayn Rand being prime examples.

You raised the issue of monopoly control, but I think your argument is misplaced. Yes, the state has a monopoly on certain essential services, like security and major infrastructure, but that’s because these services are public good, things that benefit everyone but can’t easily be provided individually. You are just thinking the grass is greener with private providers and it is not more often than is.
    Sigh..

You are an idiot who doesn't understand the point... which is the state continually uses this argument to expand into more and more areas of people's lives.

No one will ever take you seriously unless you organize your thoughts in a legitimate way. Posting on internet forums will not advance your cause.

Spy, I’m familiar with Anatomy of the State, and while it’s an influential work, aimed at teens, relying solely on one book or ideology can lead to tunnel vision.

It's compelling in the same way a rebellious beginner argument can be, but it doesn’t offer much nuance or practical solutions for how to run a functioning society beyond dismantling everything.

It’s a starting point for many, but eventually, the real world requires more complex thinking than the state is bad.

Well then suggest some better reading Tux. Duh!

What's on Tux's list... Das Kapital, Mein Kampf, and Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung?

Coming soon to a bookstore near you: Why we should all bend over and let Tux fuck us in the ass (a compilation of ET posts).

If you want to understand Marx (why I'm not sure) it helps to know that his doctoral thesis was on the philosophy of the Greek Epicurus, 341–270 BC. Marx really fucked up the philosophy...

"The Philosophy of Epicurus: Letters, Principal Doctrines, and Vatican Sayings"

This compilation includes key texts attributed to Epicurus, offering insight into his thoughts on pleasure, pain, friendship, and the nature of the universe.

Gish Galloping again Tux? Suggest one book that clearly and concisely explains why an ever expanding state is a good idea.

And makes the idea believable and palatable. I'll wait.

You are the one saying that others believe that. Take it on the stage like Clint Eastwood did where he asked and answered an empty chair.

Lol. It could easily be studied by advanced students... but not likely in a public secondary indoctrination daycare. I wonder why? Probably because it's beyond the grasp of the teachers.

When you know what he is regurgitating Murray is not so advanced.

His best work of original thought:

Clicks with teenage boys better than Rand.

Lol, good argument but still waiting for your book recommendation. One, single, good book that can refute or construct meaningful ideas.
