To the pompous BS spam artist: You keep avoiding the question, where is the one successful innovated product? NAME THE MAGIC ONE...... t's your claim for 10,000 so-called innvoations, you cannot do your own research how pathetic. So you still haven't found the magic one out of 10,000. No wonder why you are so acrimonious. NOT ONE OUT OF 10,000 lol WHERE IS IT? Name all the great Microsoft innovations..... Until you do so, you are an outright fraud
To the pompous BS spam artist: You're calling me lazy. ROFLMAO You can't even do your own research. REALITY CHECK: No one is going to do any research for a loser posting garbage on an anonymous forum.
To the jaded, jealous, ignorant loser: You responded in one minute this time, very good! I have much better things to do now but whenever I come back I expect you to respond again within a minute, understand? Which means you need to constantly monitor this thread. You keep failing to justify your GRAND DELUSION that there's no innovation in Microsoft's 10,000+ patents. What part of 10,000+ patents don't you understand? Get off of your lazy ass and research them yourself. Then you can see as many innovations as you want. I'm not your mommy, I'm not doing it for you. What part of that don't you understand? Do you also need help using the bathroom? Please get professional help for your delusions and denial but ONLY by telephone so you can be at your computer 24/7 to reply to my messages.
P.S. To the jaded, jealous, ignorant loser: You are lazy, that's why you're so ignorant. And you know NOTHING about reality or you wouldn't claim Microsoft hasn't innovated anything. You need to get professional help for your delusions and denial but remember, only by telephone so you can stand by 24/7 for my posts. Later loser!
What the fuck, dude... anyway, who gives a shit about 86-dos, that was so inferior to anything on the market at the time, or Xerox OS? These are totally irrelevant and nothing was copied. The idea of an OS was common knowledge, and certainly everyone came up with their own version. I recall packard bell's Navigator was a real flop, microsoft must have copied off them, too. Eventually everyone chose windows because of the same facts that programs were more stable and there was a greater variety of them. All of those OS systems were completely obsolete almost six months after they were released. You seem to be basing your argument on a quite poorly researched Wiki article alleging copying when the only figment of copying I can see is the idea of an operating system. That does not imply blatant copying. Think about windows. There's decades of work built into it, and you seem to think the advances were copied from somewhere else. You're sorely mistaken here. What does this have to do with the future of the US? I'll tell you, it's the same Neo-Marxist rhetoric that thinks communism is the best form of government. Ideas like patents are not beneficial in those societies, so I must conclude you are one, too. If not Neo-Marxist, then Neo-Fascist, without the blowing up of your body in crowded areas. Either way, the best way to deal with them is with a smart bomb. I'm probably not going to get anywhere with you, as you've lost touch with reality.
The reason why products were built for windows was due to the luck in become the os for the ibm-spec pc, microsoft then started to sell the os to the clones. Microsoft then started to give kickbacks to oems to sell MS software in place of other software in order for the oem to receive discounts, not by bulk alone. That is anti-competitive, according to the law and that is the problem. The basic "innovation" itself did not come from MS, there were other companies and projects with various technologies, all MS did was reverse engineer or bought that tech and incorporate it into windows, they used their monopoly position in the os market, to then use it as a wedge for other products like IE, Office, etc. That is the point. Taking an idea and incorporating it, is not innovation, it is imitation, that is my point. Ibm wanted cp/m originally, for whatever reasons, the contract was broken off and IBM picked a cp/m clone DOS, those are the facts. Of course patents for real "innovation" are necessary, but all MS did was take previously designed products in other forms and incorporate it with Windows. By the way, there is a large difference between state capitalism, the MERGER of state and corporate powers which is the system we are currently going into judging by the bailouts and the actions of the public-private FED (geithner worked for the private NYFED), and socialism. There may be innovation from the Business-side, but from the technology side there was not any thing other then taking previously implemented tech and adding it to Windows. That is the history of MS.
To the jaded, jealous, ignorant loser: Using your logic, the 1812 Overture is merely imitation and not a brilliant piece of music because Tchaikovsky incorporated elements of: God Preserve Thy People, La Marseillaise and God Save the Tsar but didn't write them. Your brain is broken.
Microsoft's big break came when some IBM exec let them keep the rights to DOS.. that guy should go down in history along with Mark Chapman. Mark Chapman was living and working in Hawaii and married to a wealthy Japanese cutie so he decides he has to go kill John Lennon... get it, most incredibly stupid decisions imaginable.. anyhow, these people that have it in for Microsoft are nuts and yeah, Microsoft is about as aggressive in business as they can be but I recall the days before the IBM PC, and the days of incompatible PC's too.... man, somebody had to take charge... do I believe that there are back doors in Windows so that spy agencies can go anywhere, anytime and spy on anybody? Yeah I do. when the government brought it's antitrust suit something transpired there, one day it was all one way and the next it was not a problem... some deals were cut.. do I think that Windows security problems were so incredibly stupid and slow to be dealt with for a reason... yeah, I'm suspicious like that. It makes me not love Microsoft but otoh Win7 is supposed to bring Windows up on a par with a MAC so the next step in the business plan is to obliterate MAC's.. whatever...
To the pompous BS spam Artist: Art and music are subjective and have been since pre-history. See Technology: ("The application of science, especially to industrial or commercial objectives.") http://www.answers.com/technology Microsoft had adapted previously implemented tech and incorporated it with their Operating system. The problem is that MS pushed their competition out of the market by bundling their OS with non-OS products, and threatening OEMs with no discounts if they did not carry non-OS MS software products or carred alternative operating systems, regardless of bulk MS products purchased. That is anti-competitive behaviour. This type of MS behaviour has always been around, after they were selected by IBM to produce a version of cp/m for the (86-dos) ibm-pc they used these anti-competitive practices to keep competitors out of the market.
By the way the "Patent Filings by Country of Origin" has Japan in first place with the US at a 22% share. "The data includes patent filings in the office of the country of residence as well as patent filings abroad." http://www.wipo.int/ipstats/en/statistics/patents/wipo_pub_931.html#a13 If you look at Patent grants by country of origin Japan is still in first place with the US at a 21.3% share.
