The Future of the Euro Zone

Discussion in 'Politics' started by tradingjournals, Jun 28, 2011.

  1. What do you think would happen to the Euro zone? disintegration, euro status, UN political vetos, sovereign defaults, etc?

If the euro zone were any good, I wonder why the brits are not in it.

    Or the Swiss!

In my opinion, one of two things happens - complete disintegration or a fiscal union. It cannot exist as it is presently designed.

But you should ask Martinghoul - he's the ECB apologist on this board.

Oh thats just Old Europe. Who cares about them anyway? People living in little apartments driving little cars and paying huge taxes. No thanks.

Let us see how long the hard working people of Germany can tolerate paying for the Greeks and Spaniards to lay about in the sun. :D

  5. Me an ECB apologist? That's funny, given everything I've said...

Actually, I agree regarding the possible outcomes... It has to be a fiscal etc union for the concept to be viable or there's no future for it.

  6. Seeing as the Greeks just got another bailout I think it will last for another 10 or 20 years. Until the medicine runs out.
