You really want to knwo what happened? WE keep re-electing the same ones. Washington is all about power and that power come from money. Look at the longest tenured pols and then see who spends the most. Guys like Byrd, Stevens, etc... It seems we all agree that Congress sucks, except for our guy of course, because he "does" so much. I've always said this would be a different country if we made serving in Congress as attractive as jury duty.
Why don't all you haters simply renounce your American citizenship, exchange your Dollars for CHF/JPY/EUR/AUD/NZD and simply leave the country? If the demise of the US is so blatantly obvious and can't be stopped... why not put your money where your mouth is, pack up your sh#t, and leave and setup shop e.g. in St. Moritz in Switzerland or in Monte Carlo, Monaco?!
