    Regarding Flynn.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Flynn

As you can see for yourself after reading the Wiki article on Flynn, that he led a very sheltered and austere life. Michael Flynn, bless his heart, did not know that it wasn't OK to lie.

[Actually, the District Court Judge was outraged at the suggestion of Flynn's lawyers that he could have been duped by the FBI. That outrage is, apparently, what led Flynn's lawyers to ask that sentencing be delayed. It would seem that it was a mistake for Flynn's lawyers to assume that Judge Sullivan was a moron.]

25-Year FBI Vet Blasts Leadership Over 'Unheard of' Alterations to Flynn Interview

“It is unheard of for someone not actually on the interview itself to materially alter an FD-302. As an FBI agent, no one in my chain of command ever directed me to alter consequential wording. And as a longtime FBI supervisor, I never ever directed an agent to recollect something different from what they discerned during an interview,” Gagliano wrote.

Strzok sent Page this text message on Feb. 10, 2017, a message that Gagliano said “nauseated me”: “I made your edits and sent them to Joe. I also emailed you an updated 302. I’m not asking you to edit it this weekend, I just wanted to send it to you.”

“[Flynn attorney Sidney] Powell charges that Page directed Strzok to alter his Flynn interview 302,” Gagliano wrote.

“As in most instances in life, words matter,” he wrote. “The change in wording was instrumental in moving Flynn from a target to a subject. One recalls how critical wording was in the FBI’s decision not to argue that DOJ charge Hillary Clinton with a crime in the private email server investigation. Comey elected not to use ‘gross negligence’ to characterize Clinton’s actions — which would have been the required language in the mishandling of classified information statute — and instead settled upon the more benign and non-indictable ‘extreme carelessness.'”

  4. "The alterations were done by Page, who was then working in the office of Andrew McCabe"

Working in the office of Andrew McCabe. Indeed. You think maybe?

One of the subtle little things that the media and others do is to portray Page as just one of the many lawyers in the doj/fbi bureaucracy who was just dicking around with a fellow employee lovebird, making paper airplanes, talking about sex and how much they hate trump, as thousands of other government employees were/are doing.

NO. Lisa Page's job was Special Counsel to the Deputy Director of the FBI- ie. Andrew McCabe.
She was not just some backroom grunt. She sat at the right hand of McCabe, she was assigned to just McCabe, and she was altering documents.

Excellent posting. Judge is getting it wrong, not you. I expect a very quick pardon after an extremely light sentence.

  9. Prosecutors are asking the judge to sentence Flynn to six months.

Ironically, that's bad news for McCabe. The outcry over letting him skate while Flynn is sentenced on a scam will be fierce, and justifiably so.

That's the downside of having Trump pardon Flynn. It takes the pressure off of the McCabe situation and removes that arguement. I am willing to sacrifice Flynn to see the pressure on McCabe remain. Trump can always pardon him down the road. Maybe Flynn can get a country club prison like Michael Cohen did. It's a black eye on the DOJ to have Flynn in the slam when the investigators concluded that they did not think he way lying, while McCabe skates. Let it continue to be a black eye until they fix it. Barr and Durham, I am lookin at you.

Prosecutors Ask That Michael Flynn Get Prison Time
Prosecutors said Mr. Flynn, President Trump’s first national security adviser, had “chosen to reverse course” on cooperating and accepting guilt after they had previously argued for a lenient sentence.
