I disagree. The GOP has been captured by MAGA, I don't see why the dems should be proactive in being as well.

  2. It's not about being MAGA, it's about making sure the government works. It's about making sure we can have a budget, raise the debt ceiling, etc. It's obvious that Biden is now a lame duck. The Democrats just had more leverage than they will over the next two years and they completely blew it. When asked what they did over the previous two years, they could have talked about how they worked with more moderate Republicans to pass a budget and prevent the country from going into default. All they'll have now are soundbites and interviews on CNN/MSNBC bashing Republicans. When asked what they've actually done they won't be able to say a goddamn thing.

you got your head in the sand if you think there was a "moderate republican" House salvageable that would not make Biden anything but a lame duck POTUS. The only thing the dems ever had since losing the mid terms was an optics game and stopping garbage put in the House from passing in the senate.

  4. I fully realize Biden's major legislative accomplishments are over for this term. Like I said, there's a couple of things that have to pass that have always passed no matter who was POTUS. They are now in jeopardy of passing with a far-right minority controlling the bills. I remember the 2011 shitshow with the debt ceiling and our credit rating dropping. I remember that they shut down the government in 2018 when they had full party control. The reality is, with the Freedom Caucus controlling the bills and a Democratic POTUS who they will be able to blame to their constituents, we are now in a far worse position than we were then.

donors will just wave money around and tell them to sit their ass down. I do expect cuts to IRS and safety net program funding however.

Nation In Shock As Politicians Show Up To Work 4 Days In A Row

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The nation is in shock today following reports of representatives in Congress showing up to work for the 4th day in a row. Sources in Washington say this may be a new record, as most members of the House are used to showing up maybe once or twice per month while spending most of their time drinking cocktails with lobbyists and talking to CNN. Medical personnel has been dispatched to the Capitol Building to tend to any elderly reps in attendance, who aren't used to working this hard, while experts warn many of them may not last through today's grueling 5-hour workday.

The House is expected to adjourn early today for the sake of any at-risk senior citizens.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Marking an historic moment in our nation's history, brilliant lawmaker and shoelace combatant Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez boldly took the floor with a biting question for her fellow representatives.

"Why do we need a House Speaker if every one of us already has headphones?" Asked the esteemed representative from New York while holding her custom-engraved Airpods in the air.

    This:

"Defend us from those adversaries, both foreign and domestic, outside these walls and perhaps within these Chambers, who sow seeds of acrimony to divide colleagues and conspire to undermine trust"

What kind of prayer has those types of words thrown in?
Pretty friggin' partisan don't ya think?
So even the Chaplain has an agenda I guess.
