Interesting that this thread started now, because just last week a friend sent me this video on this topic. Like most Americans, I discounted the facts, and figured we could merely print more money, as we have in the past. And as a general rule, I find most all these doomsayerâs as laughable, but after viewing this video, I must say, I am concerned. But still skeptical, and donât want to believe it. Keep in mind, I do not know this guy, nor do I endorse anything he is selling, just thought it to be interesting and intriguing. It will be interesting to hear others opinions. Here it is, check it out for yourself and make your own decision. 2011 Financial Crisis: End of America? DEATH of Dollar!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ7aTN-CXuY
1) ?....as long as you've been here! 2) "It" may go back as far as 2006. 3) I'm not motivated enough to look through his prior posts with the search function.
He has, and rightfully so given how weak the USD had acted since. Except for that 3 month spike ofcourse...

the world power committing an honorable seppuku when they print some more bills. $ will be worth nothing!!! no more oversea trips to other lands no more! :1
Dammit, I just sold all the supplies of canned soup, guns, ammo and tinfoil hats I amassed last time I was told to head for the hills. Does this mean I have to start all over again?
Perhaps you and I have a different definition of collapse. The USD has depreciated. I wouldn't say collapsed. In any case, what does the OP mean by the "final" collapse?
It's too late for you. The final collapse is around the corner now. If you aren't already posting from your bomb shelter, you will parish.
That's right -- impoverish every retired person on a fixed income pension, and make savers into suckers one last time, ensuring that no one will be so stupid as to save ever again. Sounds like a plan.
