  1. Criminal syndicate? Sorry, I must correct you. It is totally legal:

    Federal Reserve Act
    Section 2A. Monetary Policy Objectives

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Open Market Committee shall maintain long run growth of the monetary and credit aggregates commensurate with the economy's long run potential to increase production, so as to promote effectively the goals of maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates.

You might argue, whether they are "effectively doing so..

If you want to change it, become a politician and try to be elected for the Congress...

  2. Indeed... I am convinced, however cruel this might sound, that people normally get what they want and deserve.

  6. I honestly don't know how you're able to make these leaps of inference. When did I ever say anything about Putin?

You went from communism to free markets. That was most successfully done by Putin. And you said you get what you want and deserve that is now Putin.

Except you said: "the Federal Reserve is subject to oversight by Congress"

Not to mention private banks don't get their CEOs named by the President of the USA. :)

The correct description of the Feds is: semi-private...
