First of all, this is a thread about how the digital dollar that the Fed is thinking of launching is going to affect us not a thread about China. Just an FYI.

    Like I said before,

UK knows about the variants as well. Brazil knows about the variants. South Africa knows about the variants. They all know about their variants and yet they let their citizens travel. So are they spreading the variants on purpose? You don't say anything about them. Are you whitewashing those countries spreading the variants on purpose? The truth of the matter is, Trump tried to block flights from China right at the beginning of the pandemic and that was when China was dealing with the outbreak and we were all safe here and China raised a stint and protested against Trump's blocking of air flights citing racism and bowing to pressure, Trump had to allow flights from China to land. And yet when the variant was found in UK, Trump blocked flights from UK and stopped British passengers from landing in US and nobody said anything. So my question is WHY did Trump bow to China's pressure when he was actually taking charge and doing something right?? This is the problem with our governments, constantly bowing and catering to China when they shouldn't be and in the meantime not doing enough solve problems domestically all in the name of "democracy."

Seriously I am fed up with China and I am fed up with our governments too. They just don't do anything right. Like seriously Trump is supposed to be a doer. That's why he's elected. What did he DO in controlling the pandemic besides trying to block all flights from China in the beginning?

  2. I don't whitewash anything, and I said I agree with many of the mishandling after the virus spread everywhere. But I expect any country that detects a dangerous virus to contain that virus and NOT let hundreds of thousands or even millions of its citizens travel abroad to infect the rest of the earth as China just did. They should have shut the borders and not let any chinks out early on, they knew about the risks and dangers and already had people dying, they knew perfectly well and purposely sent infected chinks into the wild world. That was fucking wrong.

If you can't say the UK, Brazil, South Africa let out their citizens to infect the world on purpose, then you can't say the same thing about China unless you have solid, fact-based irrefutable evidence that China knows fully the danger about the virus and its potency when the rest of the world's experts were still dismissing it as "low risk" and let their citizens out with the sole purpose of infecting the world.

UK, Brazil and South Africa didn't close their borders after the variants are found originating from their countries even after fully knowing their danger. They even have the statistics from their studies. The B117 variant from UK was found to be 70% more transmissible and increased the children's infection rate to 50% from previously just 5%. Did UK close its border to stop its British citizen from traveling the world infecting others? No. Brazil's variant is found and known to be able to re-infect previously infected covid-19 patients who have developed antibodies and is found to render the current most potent mRNA-based vaccine to be 30% less effective. Did Brazil close its border to forbid its Brazilian citizens from traveling the world? No.

You are pissed about the virus. We all are. It originated in China but China didn't spread it on purpose. Stop being paranoid and stubborn on this one like those Chinese "nationalists"! Our governments were supposed to do more and better but they f***ed up and we ended up suffering a lot longer than we were supposed to. That is the fact. Now shut up and go get vaccinated!! Remember to still wear mask and social-distance for at least 14 days after each shot cuz your body takes 14 days to develop full immunity!!

  4. It started in China, not South Africa or elsewhere. They were supposed to isolate their citizens from infecting others. Not sure why you don't grasp that simple logic.

Lol you scared muppets are still going on about covid like it's not just a bad flu, when will you realise there lying to you, trump tried to not lie but got over ridden, it's a scam, take all your jobs, make you dependant on the state, facist control with a vague hint of green saving the planet.

Scared you into taking experimental barely tested with bad results poisions that will kill masses of you in the next 5 years, short term wayyy more than there admitting, 45 year old mate died Friday 3am 13hrs after vaccine heart attack yeah right.

Stop waffling about who did what and get to the facts.

P.s. hospitals get over ran most years from flu, bodies pile up, doesn't normally get a mention, this year 24/7 coverage of every death.

You need to give Trump's travel conspiracy theory a rest:

    https://news.cgtn.com/news/2020-04-...-the-rest-of-the-world--Q2oGomPRss/index.html

    https://www.factcheck.org/2020/05/trumps-flawed-china-travel-conspiracy/

Flight records show China did block international commercial flights out of Wuhan after Jan. 23, according to Flightradar24, a global flight tracking service. And these are GLOBAL flight tracking services mind you, not some sites located in China under China's control. Personally I don't even feel they are obligated to do so seeing that neither UK, South Africa nor Brazil at any given time blocked international commercial flights from flying out to all around the world to spread the variants when they even know very well that the variants infect faster and more severely and can re-infect and undermine vaccine.

So you need to give it a rest. China is a lot of things, but spreading the virus is not it. You want to pin something on China, pick on something that China really did. China was not out to conquer the world with this virus s***. China is out to conquer the world, yes but not with this virus. Now go get vaccinated!!!

  7. What you claim is simply not true. China aggressively pushed international travel all the way into March 2000. The following site is an account of what really happens. Tons of other websites confirm this, do this is not just selective picking of a website to confirm my bias.sorry pal, but you are dead wrong. China pressured the WTO from issuing global international travel and flight warnings and bans. China itself punished Australia for demanding an investigation and answers. You cant change facts. So I recommend you rest your case because facts contradict your claims. Maybe @themickey can share testimony how Australia was pressured and subsequently punished for demanding answers.

"While Chinese authorities limited domestic flights from Wuhan to other Chinese cities like Beijing and Shanghai in an effort to contain the outbreak in January, it urged international carriers to maintain their flying schedules. The Civil Aviation Administration of China stated “In order to meet the needs of passengers in and out of the country and the international transport of supplies during this special period … airlines [are required to] … continue transport to nations that have not imposed travel restrictions.”

China’s assertion that all was well for international travel was supported by the WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at the opening of the agency’s Executive Board meet on the 3rd February. He said ” There is no reason for measures that unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade. We call on all countries to implement decisions that are evidence-based and consistent. WHO stands ready to provide advice to any country that is considering which measures to take,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying criticised the US advisories saying “The U.S. government hasn’t provided any substantial assistance to us, but it was the first to evacuate personnel from its consulate in Wuhan, the first to suggest partial withdrawal of its embassy staff, and the first to impose a comprehensive travel ban on Chinese travellers”

While China continued to protest against international travel bans it successfully quarantined Wuhan and other affected cities. The total domestic lockdown of Hubei province and the flight ban imposed inside China had immediate effect. As per data from Tom Tom traffic index Wuhan had a traffic density of 60% in January while Shanghai and Beijing had nearly 80% density. After the total lockdown the average traffic density fell to below 10% in Wuhan and Shanghai during February and below 5% in Beijing. While implementing a total domestic lockdown in February, China kept assuring the world that the situation was not serious and fully under control.

WHO declares global pandemic belatedly in March, nations unprepared

China kept on the facade of hiding the severity of the virus attack till mid March. On the 11th of March WHO belatedly declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. By that time the number of cases globally had grown thirteen fold. As per WHO website more than 118,000 cases had been reported in 114 countries, and 4,291 people had lost their lives when the global pandemic was declared. That is when the rest of the world started preparing for a suitable response to the pandemic, nearly two months after China.

It was only after a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump on March 27th that Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to curb international flights from China. China’s Civil Aviation Administration stated after the discussion “that 90% of international flights would be temporarily suspended. The number of incoming passengers would be cut to 5,000 a day, from 25,000. China has also ordered local airlines to maintain only one route per country, once a week, as of 29th March”. By the end of March COVID-19 had become a full blown global crisis with nearly 10,000 deaths in Italy, Spain and the US and over 5000 in Iran and the UK which was much more than those dead in China.

As per data from Tom Tom traffic index the traffic density in Wuhan remained low at around 10% of the normal traffic in March while the major business centres like Beijing and Shanghai which had less than a few thousand cases of COVID-19 and half a dozen deaths showed partial recovery of traffic to around 40%. The rest of the world oblivious of the need for total lockdown took time to react. The traffic remained high at over 60% in major cities like Rome, Milan, Madrid, Paris, London, New York, New Delhi and Mumbai during March.

Australia calls for investigation, China and WHO must be made accountable

The Tom Tom traffic data index shows that in all other global cities like Rome, Milan, Madrid, Paris, London, New York, New Delhi and Mumbai the traffic density dropped to 10% only in the month of April when most nations went under lockdown. This was a clear two months after China went in for a domestic lock down and allowed the virus to proliferate to international destinations through human contact. The traffic density in Beijing and Shanghai rose to over 60% in April showing that the Chinese cities and its economy was back to normal functioning.

While China limited its losses to below 5000 by end April 2020, the US had lost 60,000 lives, Italy, Spain, France and UK above 20,000 each and the world saw over 200,000 deaths that was nearly doubling every fortnight. So though the virus had originated from China which initially infected citizens from 27 nations, because of China’s diabolic international travel policy it spread rapidly to a totally unprepared Europe, mainly Italy and Spain and thereafter to the rest of the world becoming a global pandemic. So weather the virus was produced in the Wuhan Virology Institute as an exercise of bio-terrorism or simply arrived unintentionally due to bat and pangolin infected blood from its exotic animal markets in Wuhan, China is answerable for the way it allowed the virus to spread.

Australia has called for an international investigation into the spread of COVID-19 and all nations of the world including India must back the move. Also it has been suggested that the leadership and the action of WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus needs to be probed. All nations including India need to support such an investigation for it is better to be safe than sorry."

Saw that article already. The information from that article all stems from this one person Neil Ferguson's theory that China allowed flights from Wuhan to go to all around the world spreading virus and Neil Ferguson's information in turn comes from this New York Times article claiming that China still permitted international flights going from Wuhan to all around the world after Jan. 23. Yeah I read them all and I didn't pick a few websites selectively like you did. And those are just not true. International flight tracking data all showed that there were no normal commercial flights going from Wuhan to any international destinations on or after Jan. 23, 2020. Go check them out yourself. Flight Tracking sites are online. Personally, I believe China was doing way above and beyond its duty considering UK, South Africa and Brazil didn't even make any efforts in blocking their flights from going all around the world spreading variants. Now 90% of all of the new cases are all variants. The variants are far more dangerous than the original virus. The best mRNA-based vaccines are 90+% effective against the original virus but they are 33% less effective against them. WHY were UK, Brazil and South Africa knowingly spreading the more dangerous variants on purpose to infect the world? You answer me this question otherwise we are done here.

  9. Wrong again, the information is based on factual flight data and from official high level publicized conversations and communique between embassies and consulates.

  10. You are talking shit. I was in New Zealand and Australia in February and March 2020 and my brother joined me in Australia from Germany whose flight stopped and took on passengers in Shanghai. That was well after January, if you want I can check the exact date and even flight number if you so desire.

This article also shows there were plenty flights out of China and those were not just repatriation flights.
