sydney office closed a few months ago.. Anyone know the fate of Montreal office? Man did buy RTS!!! But they sold European part to Marathon Asset Management. I work at RTS and that is what we are being told.
if Man had wanted to be in the prop/arcade business, I guess they would already have a presence, they've been around long enough to have done this. Seems like they dont want to be in the prop business and having got rid of the core of RTS business to Marathon, they are closing down the remainder. real shame, RTS as a "trade anywhere" option was a great model - from the meeting here last week it sounds like Marathon intend to make the future of RTS a global concern again though.
First things First - Xmas Loyalty bonus of £1500 for all 1year+ backed London and Gib traders has been confirmed. This has been long over due. Unfortunately the future of all offices outside of London are under threat. This is partly due to the fact that London was the locamotive for all other offices. The idea was, long term attention given to the other offices would equal global dominance in the field of electronic trading. With little money left at the satelite offices and zero expertise on which Man can leverage, the bias at present is towards closure. Lets hope the new management invest the colosal amount the old management put into RefcoPro. That should help save our satalite offices.
What do you mean bias? Traders are locked out of the Chicago office, and we still have not been "officially notified" of our termination. All Refco and Man officials party to this are scumbags. At least tell people where they stand. Yes, we can figure it out. However, anyone with a shred of integrity or professionalism would notify their employees.
