  1. I doubt raising the age of "fre" of SS to 70 from 67 will do much except greatly increase disability payments.

  2. Let's start with SS.
    ------------------------

    Quick question.

We are not in our current fiscal crisis as a result of SS.

This is just a ploy to get everyone's attention to the fact we have to do something. Hey people, wake up we are serious here. Let's modify SS. Nope not interested. In fact I would like to see the employers contributions eliminated ( for sole proprietors).

This would put more money in the hands of small business.

    1. SSDI is exploding and needs to stop now

    2. SSI all by just itself would be ok, but it's all the other giveaways busting the budget.

    3. people need to be told that they are not entitled to medical care, if you can't convince them, then there is no use trying to solve this civilization ending entitlement crisis. Get real and understand oabamcare will cost way more than advertised, cause massive rationing and decreasing care standards. All such programs behave in that manner.

    5. Military budget set at 4.5% GDP, which is below average. From here on out, if you start a new war then you start a new tax.

    6. The dept. of education, HUD, and commerce are a useless waste of money. get rid of them.

  5. Number 3 and 6, is this politically doable?

  6. It can't stay at 65, people routinely live to be over 80 now.

  7. sure thing first define the "fiscal cliff" you keep talking about.

  8. Okay, but there must be some spending cuts somewhere, and they need to be good ones. Revenue is on the table, in the form of closing tax loopholes I have been told. So the dems need to find something to cut.

If we don't start will SS, where do we start, and it has to be doable politically.

  9. The one in the news that Congress is working on right now. The Bush tax cuts are ending and sequestering is on the way. How does ending AA tie in to this?
