  1. Nope, that's basically everything I've learned in life summed up in one sentence.

  4. Why would people disappoint me. I don't depend on them, I do it myself. Life is not a disappointment if you know how it works.

Secondly, nobody has to prove anything to me.

    I mind my own business.

people still dont get it. People on the other side of law JOIN jews to get free hands and protection. Presume they have to pay someone for the privilege.

  6. And the reason you do it yourself is precisely because no one else can be relied upon to consistently do whatever it is you want done in a way that will satisfy your standards.

I think you missed the basic point, though. If you are, as you say you are, not the kind of person who relies on others to help him, then you've already implicitly taken my comment to heart.

I didn't say that life is a disappointment. It only is when you think that others won't disappoint you if you try to rely on them. If you don't try to rely on them, my comment is irrelevant. If that's your situation, great. You've already taken the first major step to avoiding disappointment.

I mind my own business as well. Unfortunately, dealing with other people is practically unavoidable. For those unavoidable situations, my comment holds. When you are in the privacy of your own home, doing your own thing by yourself, it's irrelevant.

Sure, nobody "has to prove anything to me", either. When they try to prove something to me, though, I set the bar high and most fail.

Anyway, if you really disagree, go into every situation where you have to interact with someone you don't know and think to yourself "I just know this person I've never met before is going to handle my issue professionally and competently and I'm going to walk away from this interaction really satisfied with the results". See where that gets you.
