  2. Obviously this does not mean that TT ADL is not an interesting and stimulating module for other reasons. However the Alert Manager features provided with TT basic should be better tuned and improved with some basic functionalities too, without the need of ADL.

They’re not going to invest $$$$ into a platform that they’re not making money on. The days of TT commanding $1800 per month for X-Trader are long long gone and their staff at Evanston is but a shell of its former self.

If you want really good alerts, market scanners and data modeling you’re going to have to look at top tier charting and data platforms IMO. That never was TT’s strong suite.

TT did really well when they had thousands of futures prop traders as clients in Chicago, NYC, London, Frankfurt, Sydney, Singapore, HK. And that business model has downsized dramatically and morphed since the early 2000’s.

  5. bone, actually TT is the main platform they are investing in, since X_trader will be discontinued. I have remarkable respect for the ADL project and the current evolution notwithstanding the issues; community is rich of ideas and well supported.
What I am criticizing above, is the need to use a smartphone (or 'TT Mobile') in order to receive alerts or being forced in the TT Pro just to play a sound alarm for basic features such as a price threshold.
