  1. Agreed, to a point. The key distinction is that most Republicans are not conservatives. What we need are conservatives or classical liberals. We currently have precious few of either.

  2. perfect example of what you are talking about are senators Republican Charles Grassley and Socialist Bernie Sanders

Both work on bills (and have passed one) fighting H-1b abuse

They both tell the raw truth about the whole stinking treasonist issue. Grassly, from a conservative point of view, Sanders, from a socialist point of view

    But both basically, in agreement

the lesson being is not that we need more liberal and less conservative or vice versa, we just need less anti american SLIME

Exactly. Fiscal conservatives have been pushed out of politics almost entirely.

Bush wasn't a good economic President, primarily because he overspent.

Unfortunately, Obama is like Bush on crack, spending at a pace that would make Karl Rove blush.

Regardless, this country is headed towards the abyss, but with the Dems we'll get there a generation or two earlier.

  4. Well, I just hope volume stays around for one more year. I'm retiring from trading next Christmas, then out of the dollar altogether, and will be nowhere near any media device for years to come... deliberately. You will see me skipping my cel phone across the waves, as soon as I can get off the plane and down to the beach!

  8. What about a democratic controlled congress "The Democratic Party maintained control of the House from 1954 until 1995." Not to mention their Roosevelt years before that. Liberals were so careful with our tax dollars, uhh not! :p Both parties spend too much, PERIOD! However, this "tax" the OP is talking about is another "liberal" idea which will destroy trading as we know it and will NOT increase tax revenues anywhere near where the architects dream.
