Why is $5k such a magic number? Is it somehow based on the probability of a "blow-out" while trading a single contract?
Who did you expect to attract with a thread title like this? You were practically BEGGING to be harassed.
With 500$ margin, there are 3.5k to blow with a 5k account. If the account is meant for daytrading ES and some absolute edge is used, then the account has 3.5k / $50 = 70 ES pts to blow. That is just enough for more than 30 trades with 2 pt stop, to realize the statistical bias in the system/model.
