Stop spreading false propaganda. There is huge consensus with medical experts that wearing masks in closed indoor areas where social distancing is not always possible reduces infection rates a ton. You are the king of ignorant bs and slogans on here.

All the useless debate on here ignores one very basic fact. There are 3 months of evidence now that areas that use masks, social distancing, and the public respects the risks have much, much lower infection rates then those that don't. The debate should have ended at least a month ago but many Americans are stubborn fools.

A virus won't be stopped by anything but the best electrostatic filters etc. but the droplets they are bound in are a different matter.

It's not complicated. The city I live in is a major clothes manufacturing centre. It is perfectly commonplace to see people wearing masks on public transport. This is because factories started mask wearing when ill as a policy decades back. No stigma or shyness about them.

We have a fraction of the cases of other cities. Just like Asia. Distance is better, mask plus distance best. It just works, its cheap and it solves all the problems.

Personally I find the *anonymity in a world of cameras interesting, I get how authoritarians won't like masks.

*OK I'm a literal giant especially here, practically a tourist attraction in the malls, I rarely get away with less than two girls asking for a selfie but all that is on hold and its nice to have the break.

Surgical and Cotton Face Masks Ineffective at Blocking SARS-CoV-2 Particles When COVID-19 Patients Cough, Study Finds
    https://www.newsweek.com/surgical-c...ov-2-particles-when-covid-19-patients-1496476
After the participants finished coughing, the researchers took swabs from the inner and outer surfaces of the masks.
Dr. Sung-Han Kim of Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, and colleagues found SARS-CoV-2 on the outside of every mask, but "most" swabs from inside tested negative.
Finding more virus particles on the outer than inner mask surfaces was "of note," the scientists said. It was unlikely the researchers spread the virus while swabbing the masks, they argued, as they tested the outside before the inner surface.
The findings emphasize the importance of washing hands after touching the outer surface of masks, according to the team.

One of the problems is that most folks do not wear masks properly or care for them properly.

Price went on say the virus is primarily transmitted by touching someone who has the virus and then touching your face.

"The ways that you get this is the transmission of the virus almost exclusively from your hands to your face, from your hands to your face and inside your eyes, into your nose or into your mouth," Price explained. "So there's a lot of talk about contact or getting it through contacts, hands to face."
"But very simply stated, the overwhelming majority of people are getting this by physically touching someone who has this disease or will develop it in the next one to two days and then touching their face," he pointed out.

"The thing that makes me smile a little bit is I actually know now that I won't get this disease because I know how to protect myself," Price said in the video.

It is not about stopping, its about reducing the range and they do that. I do believe mask design minimum standards need to be set for anyone manufacturing them. Efficacy and wearer comfort matter.

I get that you are a very binary thinker, things are yes or no, true or false and you express that thinking in large font often enough but the physical world is not like that.

I will immediately seperate from strangers wearing masks if they are having a loud conversation as I believe that the vocal chords make droplets in large volume / nebulise.

A cough is another rare event, I'll definately pay attention to the wind direction and distance then, hold my breath a moment.

I have done a lot of cancer hospice work, being careful with passing on illness is 2nd nature for me. It is not burdensome but it is a struggle for lazy or slow learners.

"Become a hand Nazi. Everything you know about your hands, just keep it clean and you will not get this disease," Price said. "The second thing is you have to start psychologically working on the connection between your hands and your face."
"Those two things combined is incredibly powerful and will prevent the transmission of disease in your family in 99 percent of cases, to know your hands are clean and not touch your face, period," Price added.

Donald and Mike need to do what Barrak and Joe did a few times and make a little film. The subject, good practices with masks.

Explain why some are just near rubbish, get or make a better one.

Advocate nose breathing and not panting which also really helps with moisture building and causing people to feel suffocated.

It is not a lot to ask even now that Donny shows a good example to his supporters and we can just get masks widely adopted before another few trillion is pissed away.

Oh and don't touch surfaces, use gel and if you have gel on your hands you won't rub your eyes twice. Learn fast there.
