Price went on say the virus is primarily transmitted by touching someone who has the virus and then touching your face.
Let’s go through the process of someone getting infected with the Covid virus.

An infected individual who wears no PPE coughs and covers their mouth with their hands. Now their hands are covered with virus. Someone else shakes hands with the infected person. That someone else then either rub their eyes, eats a sandwich, or in some other way uses their hands that causes them to become infected.

The above scenario establishes a key method of infection: Transference. Transference of active virus from one’s mouth, to their hands, to some else’s hands, to another object, say some elses hands and to the new victim’s eyes, mouth, or nose, where they become exposed and probably become infected.

Is it reasonable to believe the same virus that can survive and infect on the indirect transfer between mouth-hands-hands-eyes could do so on a more direct route of someone coughing or sneezing?

Further, are there not other viruses that are known to be infectuous through the air? If so, what attribute would be it necessary for that virus to have? Would not active virus shedding within some part of one’s airway, especially after a forceful exhalation such as a sneeze, cough, singing, cheering, or yelling be a reasonable attribute for a virus in order to be infectous through the air?

Covid-19 is a respiratory virus that preferentally targets lung cells. Tests have shown Covid-19 can remain viable for hours on a wide variety of surfaces. Whether Covid-19 is exhaled to one’s hands and transfered to another hands or to another surface, active virus is spread throughout the environment.

Does it not make sense to avoid the spread of the virus to one’s hands or other surfaces in the first place? How about the idea of placing a barrier between the source of the infection and the outside environment?

One such barrier is called a mask. Some masks are more effective than others and require proper use to be most effective, but face masks are far better than nothing.

Price is spreading fake news to people who want to hear they don’t need to wear a mask.

A lot of Conservatives I’ve talked to don’t wear PPE for Covid-19. Their reasons for not wearing a mask would embarass a snowflake. They’ll wearing trucking related PPE, however. This tells me they are relying on politicized medical advice from Conservative media. Politicized medical advice that is not responsive to the nature of infection of Covid-19.

My fellow Conservatives, please stop letting the media do your thinking for you. Think for yourself, embrace the inconvenience of wearing a mask like its a tie or new shoes that are still tight, and let’s finally beat this pandemic.

"The ways that you get this is the transmission of the virus almost exclusively from your hands to your face, from your hands to your face and inside your eyes, into your nose or into your mouth," Price explained. "So there's a lot of talk about contact or getting it through contacts, hands to face."
"But very simply stated, the overwhelming majority of people are getting this by physically touching someone who has this disease or will develop it in the next one to two days and then touching their face," he pointed out.

"The thing that makes me smile a little bit is I actually know now that I won't get this disease because I know how to protect myself," Price said in the video.

Hahaha EXgoper is the bottom left. Just wear the mask man, wear the mask when inside, near a group of people outside of your circle. I don’t get the issue with the mask.

I guess he was bothered by my pointing out he has never once, ever, been funny. Still hasn't.

Better, at least I'm the taller one though I don't fancy being ginger.

I saw this a couple of weeks back and thought of you Lacey.

No one, I repeat NO ONE... is shaking hands anymore.
I never did it before this bs. Fist-bump works fine. Elbow bump now. If that.

  7. Agreed. My post originally indicated I was going to follow the author’s line of reasoning all the way through, but the right words alluded me at the time. Obviously shaking hands is one less major non-airborne vector type of transmission, implying airborne transmission is even a higher proportion of all transmission.

I am being uncharacteristically gentle with otherwise smart people who are not fully using their brains here. It is truly astonishing to me how far people can remove themselves from what should be obvious. (Yes, Bugenhagen, I know what you’re preparing to post).

I suppose the next step is creating a thread on critical reasoning titled “Failure of Purpose” for some of our lost Conservative buddies.
