Many could not understand sarcasm on AOC. LOL. No wonder she was elected. Education means nothing in this age. I judge her by what she says and does, not by what degree she holds.
Sure, you have no problem hiring a guy with no medical education to perform surgery on you or no civil engineering education to design bridges or high rises or no aeronautical engineering education to design airplanes because "education means nothing in this age", right? While certainly as the original topic of this thread pointed out there are some rare folks without a formal education in a field who can nonetheless contribute greatly to it, they're few and far between and an exception rather than the rule. On the whole, some redneck in a trailer park is going to have far less useful to contribute to any serious topic than someone with an education in that area and in no universe should they be allowed to touch any of the many things that actually require an education to do safely. Sorry, that's just life no matter if you like it or not. I do have to wonder why you feel the need to "judge" Representative Ocasio-Cortez rather than the positions she holds? Has she done something to you personally that leads you to feel the need to personally judge her? Are you incapable of granting that she's an educated, intelligent, well spoken woman who's ideas you happen to strongly disagree with (most of which I happen to disagree with as well, BTW).
AOC is very intelligent and smart. She understands her constituency and speaks for them. Trump is very intelligent and smart. Trump understands his constituency and speaks for them. The only difference is one is far left and one far right. Neither are unifiers. Unfortunately in this day and age, unifiers won't get pass the party primaries.
I haven't heard from @notafool with his supposed "ivy league with honors" degree. He must have forgotten where he put his diploma and is furiously searching?
