Some possess the vocabulary to sum things up in a way we can understand. This is a quote from the former Premier of the Czech Republic . Obviously, we have a lot of work to do to repair the damage that's been done. "The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president." Vaclav Klaus
Has education remained the same? Of course not? Is education better or worse? Depends on your perspective. No one answer will be satisfactory Has the unacceptable become acceptable? Yes, most definitely. But again, depending on your perspective, some may feel that the acceptable has also become unacceptable in some respects. Peruse P&R for a few pages, or read a few newspapers, magazines, or blogs, and you'll see how true that notion is... The only constant in life is change, and the dissatisfaction change brings about... Time for a Guinness..
Certainly can't argue with the perspective aspect. I'm having a few Sam Adams myself. Have a good weekend.
My town invited a big yeast producer in. They clogged up the sewage treatment plant. Now there is the smell of raw sewage at night. This would be a beautiful place if it wasn't for the raw sewage. It's going to cost millions to expand the sewage plant, and we tax payers are stuck with the bill. Curse you and your fellow traveler, pinko, commie lefties, Odumbo, for stinking up my village.
The US world view is sliding towards atheism. God was expelled from the public sector schools and it's been downhill since then. It started over a hundred years ago with John Dewey. My daughter was in a christian school for a few grammar and jr. high years. I used to help her with her homework because I learned so incredibly much (and I score 99th percentile in tests of general knowledge.) Public schools are sliding towards paganism, at the college level it's forced paganism. They are like Obamacare, they have overplayed their hand and are producing people that are useless. It's a yawner really, perfectly predictable, meanwhile christians are doing well.
I think it's true the world is moving toward atheism but it is because of freedom of knowledge and free thinking. The internet allows everyone to ask why and is this possible, without the fear of attack. Knowledge is the enemy of religion.
This is such a bullshit redherring. Supposedly because conservatives call for less regulations we need to start at the ability to poision the air or water, that is supposedly the regulation that conservatives are strongly targeting, obviously any conservative woould have a problem with someone dumping pig shit in your drinking water, no one is even arguing that. Its when you dumb ass liberals tell a person that there front door has to be exactly 36 by 84 inches, and the roof has to be 10 foot 3 inches, and workers must wear jeans made of 79.1% cotton, and your truck must get 18.76 (not 18.75) miles to the gallon, if you get 18.75 you are a criminal. You loons actually believe that the current regulatory system is so bare bones that it ONLY targets the amount of pig shit someone can dump into a water system, give your fucking head a shake. How are you guys doing in california? California has created its own water supply shortage all to save some piece of shit endangered smelt. And your going to tell me that the liberal doo gooders havent gone to far? That the only remaining regulations are those stopping people from polluting air and water, and there is simply no overbearing regulations that can possibly be cut?
+1 good post max. i have yet to hear one conservative on these boards say we don't need ANY regulation.
