Tennessee sets ‘stunning’ new child COVID records after GOP fought mask mandates: 'NEVER been this bad' https://www.rawstory.com/tennessee-...p-fought-mandates-it-has-never-been-this-bad/
The 8000 kids being out of school have nothing to do with masks because they aren't sick. You can't say "we're going to put a policy in place that restricts students from being in school if they so much as look at an infected person" and then turn around and say "SEE??? LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE OUT OF SCHOOL!!!" Twat.
Are you trying to claim that not a single child in the district had Covid. LOL Note that school districts requiring masks from the very first day of school are not having this problem. Only schools districts not requiring masks are shutting down totally or have large numbers of children out in less than a week. Mandating mask will allow in-building learning to go on for a much longer period of time without major issues. Wake County year-round schools proved it this summer -- while there were individual instances of students who were sick -- it did not lead to schools shutting down or large numbers of students being sent home -- all thanks to masks.
No, you jackass. Unlike you, I try to say what I mean and not obfuscate. I said "most of the kids home aren't sick". Probably 95%? Like who. Name them. Fortunately, less and less people actually believe in the witchcraft you spout.
Let's take a look at neighboring state Georgia -- where school districts without mask mandates have shutdown in less than a week while other school districts requiring masks are still open with limited issues. teH sCIEnCE. This is how you feed a narrative - use a one sided dataset to confirm your bias and then trumpet it as "See? Toldja!"
The school districts in Georgia near major metro areas which defied the state legislature are having limited issues. At least Kemp backed down and is leaving the mask mandate decisions up to school systems (unlike DeSantis in Florida). Here is a county-by-county outline for north Georgia. Note that Atlanta schools with a mask mandate is having limited issues while other unmasked districts on the list already have significant issues. Several school systems such as Gwinnett imposed mask mandates after the CDC altered guidance or after the school year got off to a very bad start. Other school districts such as Cobb which has refused to adopt a mask mandate while their school board members spout anti-vax nonsense -- now has parents taking their children out of these unmasked schools. the cultists going overboard. Wearing a mask actually helps cognitive ability in children. Because children who need to see adult's mouths and facial expressions - but now can no longer see them - will somehow be better for figuring it out on their own. This is the LEVEL if asinine thinking from these primates.
