As I posted a few days ago, the assembly line for Lada Granta was open for 4 days, then was stopped for an indefinite period. For lack of parts.

Russian gasoline price went up 27% in May, after going up 28% in April. The trend is .... bicycles in Moscow. Europeans will be fine.

But better not get a flat tire in Moscow, no patches.

Why do Putin apologists like to make themselves look so foolish? Huh low-kash?

Russia's actions impact economies and inflation across the globe. But nothing will deteriorate faster than Russia's economy.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine accounts for more than a third of U.S. inflation, forecaster says
    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/t...-of-u-s-inflation-forecaster-says-11655122032

The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions that it triggered is behind more than a third of the 40-year high inflation of 8.6%, according to analysis from a leading forecaster.

Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, says after decomposing the numbers, the Russian invasion represented 3.5% year-over-year growth, mostly through the direct of higher commodity prices. But, he added on a podcast by the firm that higher diesel prices causes food prices to be higher, and it’s also bleeding into things like airfares.

The COVID-19 pandemic, he said, represented 2% year-over-year growth, mostly through supply chains.

“The bulk of the supply chain constraint component on CPI is new and used vehicles, but it also includes bedding, furniture, children’s apparel, things that are really affected by the supply chains,” added Ryan Sweet, senior director at Moody’s Analytics.

The lack of affordable housing is further responsible for 0.6% year-over-year price growth, according to Moody’s calculations.

He said the American Rescue Plan, the stimulus plan that President Biden signed into law, had a negligible impact.

In all, Zandi says the typical American household is paying $460 per month more to buy the same goods and services that they would have at the same time last year.

Cris DeRitis, deputy chief economist, said the inflation readings may not have peaked. “But as we get past the summer, past the summer driving season, I think then you might to see some of that moderation,” he said. “It’s just a matter of time.”

U.S. stocks SPX, -3.77% slumped for a second day on Monday. The yield on the 2-year Treasury TMUBMUSD02Y, 3.370% continued to rise as the curve neared inversion.

  8. I will just leave this article here. But it makes the point that I have made a couple times, which is that everyone assumes that China is either helping Putin or would like to but is afraid of the sanctions. Except, I don't I see that China has anything to lose by just letting Russia tank. Russia is already in a position where it can only sell its oil at a massive discount to China. Yeh, cmon man. The Chinese are loving it. And now they are scooping up Russia's tradition allies and customers in the Crapistan states- the same countries where Xi needs help getting the uyghars off his arse and where he wants to further develop his belt and road scam. China will pick up a good part of the rebuilding of Ukraine too- for less than altruistic reasons.

Yeh. As I said before, the Chinese may be Vlad's bestie now or so they say, but with friends like that, who needs ENEMAS! Can't put the soviet union back together again when they are all on the chinese tit.

First sign that Vlad was having trouble with his traditional allies was when Karzakistan/sp refused to send troups to Ukraine. Even though Vlad sent russian troops to K-stan to prop up the leader there. Yeh. El sucko.

The Russian economy will not recover for decades however. It's pretty much back to the Soviet Union poverty days for them.

All people with money will leave Russia, all high educated people will do the same. Russia will become a country with only poor and marginal people. After the braindrain, starting to build factories will be impossible as there will only be idiots to work in these factories.
All people who can escape will do that. Who wants to live i n a country where there is a huge supression where no Western goods are availabe anymore, and where Putin makes new laws every day to make the Russians his slaves. Soon you get 15 years prison if you just wipe your nose. Russia has become a huge concentration camp.
I start to understand why most Russians don't care about a nuclear war as it cannot be worse then the life they have now. Getting killed is probably for most of them a blessing as it will end their miserable life.
