Oh yea Jeroen Blokland world's authority on effectiveness of sanctions. Tweet, tweet.

Meanwhile MOEX is down -23.53% since dead cat bounce after -54.35% initial drop in 5 trading days. Don't need to mention where index is in relation to ATH.

So much winning ........ and nonsense of course.

It's because dollar exchange rate is crashing in term of rubles.

For some reason investor still like to value those corps in dollar terms despite trading in rubles

in dollar term there is still significant growth since stock exchange reopened

those who could buy russian stocks after stock exchange reopening in dollars made a fortune

    Going short.

Majority of stocks can't go up if index is going down. Math don't lie. Propaganda does.

The original tweet was about the Ruble, nothing else. That was the one you said was nonsense. The follow up tweet was about the Ruble, nothing else. But I do appreciate your attempt to redirect the conversation to a broader topic on the Russian economy.

    Read much?

    "Sanctions are failing miserably"

Russia is desperate to keep the heavily manipulated Rubble Ruble exchange rate up since they are selling crude already at a yuuge discount, they don't need to give few buyers even more of an incentive.

Meanwhile equities can't buy a bid - and store shelves are almost bare.

But you can backorder a 1981 Trabant.

Do you? You claimed the tweet (and the subsequent Bloomberg article) about the ruble strengthening was nonsense. Yet, here we are.

But hey, keep telling us about equities.

It's ok, you know. All you had to say was "I was talking about the broader market" and we'd just accept it and move on. What is funny is seeing you dig in because you just...can't...admit...
