  1. She sure did.

But isn't it so ironic that our dear old Attorney General John Ashcroft decides not to fly on anything else but a "private" jet in the weeks preceeding 911, even though counter-terrorism measure were not a priority?

It will be really interesting to see how Ashcroft weasles his way out of this one. If you thought Condi Rice was treated in a contentious fashion, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Ashcroft and Mueller are gonna have 2 new assholes ripped into them, immediately. And you know something?

    They deserve it.
They are suppose to be protecting us with all of the tax dollars we give them . . . not taking "private" jets while the rest of us board commercial airliners with no fucking clue!

I had a dear friend of mine that was a United Airlines flight attendant die that day. Do you think John Ashcroft called her up to tell her not to fly? How abot Condi Rice? She called Willie Brown up and told him not to fly commercially. But no, the citizens of our country were put at risk because people that we trusted in high places of our federal government dropped the ball.

Yeah Mav, terrorism as we know it will never be prevented. Oklahoma City is a very good case in point. But I am a firm believer that our "bureacracy" and an administration that was on "vacation" lead to the end of our freedom as we know it. It lead to the deaths of several of my friends, and the neighborhood in which I lived from 1984-1993.

George Bush and Condi Rice can go fuck themselves!

  2. Wag, you could prevent further defecation on Chit Chat by simply writing the above one line for every one of your future posts!

It is the conclusion you come to in every one of your comments on this board, so why not just streamline your invective? :D

Waggie, get off this high horse already OK? And stop using this I knew people who died in 9/11 as your excuse for ranting and raving. I was in the North Tower 35 minutes before the first plane hit OK? I watched people jump to their death. I was running down the street minutes after the first building collapsed with a cloud of debris to my back. I walked over 18 miles that day just to get back to my apt. OK?

But you don't see me blaming everyone under the sun as to why this happened. Get a grip on yourself. The only way to stop terrorism is to take preemptive action and kill them one by one. But you don't want to do that, you want to outsmart them. What a joke. If I were in charge, I would kill every known terrorist, everyone that was funding terrorism, and everyone that was harboring terrorists. But wait, that's why we went into Iraq and Afghanistan. OK, never mind.

  4. Iraq is a severe tactical mistake.

The fact that we can't even protect a simple supply convoy from getting burnt to the ground is a good example of the absurd policy that this Administration continues to embark in.

Seems to me that there are a lot of very Pro-Bush people on ET, some of whom are complete morons that have their head stuck in the sand and think that our military has millions of troops that can be scrambled from anywhere in the world to rush to Iraq and support the military that is already there.

    This is totally FALSE.

If you people can't see how weak are Military is right now, and how tremendously "stretched" our resources are, you obviously have not much intelligence. Can you imagine? A freaking supply convoy burnt to the ground because it wasn't protected! And this is one full year after the initial attack on Iraq.

I guess General Franks was correct when he said that the Administration was not interested in having the military leaders involved in "tactical" decision-making in post-war Iraq.

    What a shame.
Another miscalculation by the Bush Administration.

    Sorry Sir,

We regret to inform you that your son was killed in Iraq yesterday due to the fact that we were unable to protect the supply convoy that he was a part of. Because we did not have the resources to protect the convoy, it was burnt to the ground by insurgents. Hence, your son's life was lost and he will not be coming back home.

Thank you for your time and investment in Iraqi Freedom.

    Yours truly,

    Donald Rumsfeld

  5. p.s. The President, Condi Rice and I have been traumatized by the remarks and incredible analysis of Waggie 945 on elitetrader.com. As Mr. Waggie has so brilliantly pointed out, the August 6 PDB was rife with actionable intelligence that we could have and should have taken action on. For example, we did not immediately imprison and interrogate all 6 million or so Arab-Amerians, shut down our national transportation systems, and close the borders with Canada and Mexico.

As a matter of fact, Mr. Waggie's insight and cut-to-the-chase assessments of our debacle has been so on target, that we are inviting him to take over Clarke's previous post of counter-terrorism czar.

In this new post, for which he is eminently qualified, Mr. Waggie will investigate every single one of the thousands of threats our country receives each year, no matter how old or bizarre as it may seem. As a matter of fact, Mr. Waggie's first order of business will be to look into a threat received in 1952 by a certain Joe Blow Arab (possibly an alias), last known residence Beirut, who threatened to destroy these United States by infiltrating our TV stations and broadcasting 24-hour nonstop reruns of "Tales of the Koran."

This threat cannot be taken lightly, and we will immediately dispatch Mr. Trade(jack)Off to both assist Mr. Waggie in his duties, egg him on to make dramatic press briefings, and give him oral sex.

  6. Hapaboy and all of his ridiculous aliases refrain from telling you that the FBI had an "active" FBI informant that was in contact with 2 of the nineteen "911" hijackers in San Diego.

Naaaa, that information wouldn't have helped anyone.
    Not a chance.

  7. LOL! What?!? So now I am Maverick?!?

Waggie, not only will you be the counter-terrorism czar, but in charge of the X-Files as well (and I don't mean in charge of cruising web porn sites, although I'm sure that is yet another of your fields of expertise).

You can kill the terrorists but you can't stop terrorism. In other words NVS, you can't stop rape, but you can apprehend rapists. Follow? You can't stop murder, but you can apprehend murders. Terrorism in and of itself cannot be stopped, but terrorists can. OK Waggie, err, I mean NVS.:D
