The death of listed stock trading

  3. has this proposal gone thru, or is it still just a proposal? Thinking of trading listed, but don't like this proposal.

    Given the fact that the specialist is the only one who can see the crowd of $2 brokers who are the ones holding the real orders that move the mkt, why would you want to be a listed mkt maker specially without the fractions? Would'nt that be a severe handicap?

  7. If there is no more price improvement I doubt there is any need to go through the specialist. I would post to ARCA or INCA where execution and cancels are much faster. It will make the game just like trading Nasdaq. Lots of people posting and canceling size to manipulate the perception of real supply and demand.
