Could this actually be the greatest and potentially the deadliest of Obamaâs screw ups so far? By Erick Erickson Friday, January 1st at 10:12PM EST I missed the implications of this up front and I bet you all did too, but I am hearing from members of the American intelligence community and some on the outside closely connected to those on the inside who are raising a huge red flag right now. It appears Barack Obama inexperience and amateurishness has just started bonfires on the bridges connecting him to the American intelligence community and delivered a huge, HUGE psychological win to Al Qaeda. People tell me the Presidentâs rush to acknowledge the attack on the CIA in Afghanistan and mourn the deaths openly, publicly, and via press release is a huge no no. The CIA and greater intelligence community would prefer not to have the attention put on them. Additionally, because the President took the time to draft a blanket statement focused on the CIA in general instead of individually and more privately focusing on the families of the victims, it acknowledges the CIAâs work in Afghanistan, acknowledges that the attack has an impact on the CIA, and gives the terrorists a new recruiting tool â âyou too can cause America to publicly mourn the loss of their spies.â To you and me this may not seem like a big deal. But Iâm told this is hugely significant and shows just how out of touch the Obama administration is with the intelligence community. Iâm told that no other President has issued such blanket statements of public mourning directed toward an attack on the CIA and thereby having the White House itself confirming an attack on our intelligence community. The intelligence community is licking its wounds right now and Obamaâs rush to confirm for the world that the community suffered such wounds has the intelligence community simmering tonight and Al Qaeda preparing a PR blitz with what they view as good news. UPDATED: Take the information above and couple it with this. The White House is subtly blaming the intelligence community for the failure to deduce the Delta/Northwest attack. Why? Because the President is worried about being blamed, the White House is trying to blame the CIA while at the same time undermining the CIA through a rush to publicize the Afghan attack. Either this White House is willfully trying to sabotage the intelligence community or they are rank amateurs. I pray to God in Heaven it is the latter.
For your sake, you better pray you're not one of them. And another thing, you've got to be the most pathetic person here to imply that losing 3000 more Americans is alright with you so long as the 'score card' gives Obama the win.
Screw the CIA. They went out of their way to screw Bush over with false information on what Saddam had in the way of WMD. Why? Because the CIA is a leftist organization. CIA needs to be disbanded and replaced with a real secret service with loyality to the US and not to themselves. John
