RIP Mr. Goat. I have to admit that I second guessed Maddon on pulling Hendricks when he did (bad call by ump on that pitch which seemed an obvious strike but called a ball, and no reason to pull the pitcher....thought maybe the curse was still working shortly thereafter), and then again when he pulled Lester, but we did it in the end...I think the rain delay hurt Cleveland's momentum. I'm ecstatic and have a lot of happy relatives tonight! Cheers Nitro, and to all other Cub fans who have waited their entire lives for this!!! Wish I was in Chicago tonight, but I'm loving the win and partying where I live. Russell went to high school only a few miles from where I live so that adds to the celebration. He'll be headlines here tomorrow. As Harry used to say: "Cubs Win!!!!, Cubs Win!!!!"
The goat made a couple last ditch efforts to take them down, but the new kids in down finally buried the bastard. Well played.
