Lock away people that has not gotten sick nor tested positive.

Not enough isolation rooms nor homes for such. Thus, you can not lock away everyone including those not sick.

Much easier if everyone wash their hands, social distancing, no group gatherings, designated shopping times in grocery stores for the elderly & sick and so on...do what China did with their testing of those walking around and driving around in public (tested via designated health check points from A to B along with "infectious signs" on the doors of those that are ill.

Lock away the Old & Sick would obviously be an "over reaction" while everyone is allowed to go about their day infecting each other.

Something else you're not aware of via your comments...

There's a growing number (escalating numbers) of the young & healthy now getting sick...growing number of the young now dying from Covid-19.

My point, deadly bacteria do in fact mutate and now their scrambling to see why the young & healthy are dying when they had no prior immune system problems. Something else to think about your theory.

Simply, be careful...there could soon be a Covid-20 that's more dangerous...able to infect young & healthy individuals. Than in about 100 years...we'll all develop natural immunity and the Covid diseases will be no worst than catching a cold or just go to the doctor and get your yearly vaccine.

This virus does that, but I got your point. 100 years ago the flu did the exact opposite, so in a way, what comes around goes around. We can consider ourselves actually lucky that we only have such epidemics once per century.

But, but...according to @MKTrader "Nope, we're a constitutional republic (rule of law, not rule of mob)" so that doesn't matter....or something. Not sure what his point was.

But none of that works it will merely slow it down, so old / sick people will still die, your just scared of something you don't understand, being more scared of someone dying and being blown out of proportion on the news, way more died horrifically in car crashes, fires, cancer, heart, falling down there stairs yet you still walk down stairs right?

The death rate per population is 0.35%, flu is 0.1%, it seems higher because there talking deaths/tested a lot don't need testing.

The old/ill/anyone worried can self isolate at home, don't make 95% of the world population stop having a life stop functioning to protect 0.35% of people dying?

Which is why libtards should not be allowed to make important decisions, they do way more harm than good and will end the world with a wimper not a bang.

Just because someone agrees with you doesn't make them clever, maybe your both stupid?

I see we can add reading comprehension to your list of failures. Could you perhaps point out where I said we agreed? Turns out intelligent mature adults are able to have intelligent conversations where they don't agree but still get a lot out of the conversation. That concept is clearly entirely beyond you, given that I wrote "have an intelligent conversation" and you decided that meant "agrees". I think everyone can agree that inability to read what someone wrote does make one "stupid" though.

Enjoy the next 2 years of lock down for no reason, other than easily your easily led and too scared to listen to reason.

Are you actually capable of an adult level conversation, or is it all sophomoric insults completely untethered to anything the person you're conversing with ever said? It's unclear what exactly you hope to accomplish when you open your mouth?

Lets not forget the number of suicides that will occur because of people panicking. In 2008, over 5,000 committed suicide solely due to the market crash. This time it's much worse. We probably already have 10 times the number of suicide deaths due to this panic than covid-19 deaths.

Suicides when up 21% from 1929 to 1932. We had 48k suicides in 2018, so we can reasonably expect about another 10,000 due to unnecessary panic.
