  7. It's mainly because the health care system in Canada and in US and hospitals cannot handle even 1% of the pop. needing hospitalization. each person on ICU cost $1000-$5000/day billed to the gov't
    intensive care cost more as you have specialist and other nurses monitoring the patient with tubes and breathing problems. People say only 1% is hospitalized.
    1% is 3 million people in the US over 2 months
    there is only 15,000 ventilators just last week in the entire country. and most hospitals have less tha 100 ventilators. and ICU is small team. in hospitals. ICU is for people who are near death. intensive care unit and patient is watched 24 hours
    The reason Italy has such a high death rate was mainly due to that lack care and hospitals being full. People were infected and told to stay home as the hospital was full.
