  1. And that factor alone could be the start of his downfall.
Who wants to work for an A-hole ?

  2. People that like working for start-ups and the possibility or getting rich.
People that have a shared vision of his and like the idea of blazing new trails.
Unemployed people that need a job to support their family and will deal with it because they have to.

Besides, it's not like you will see him everyday. If you worked for Goldman Sachs or GM, how often would you interact with the boss? Never.

Have you ever seen any remarks about Walt Disney (if you don't come in to work on Saturday, don't bother coming in on Monday) , Steve Jobs or Bill Gates ? They weren't the warm and fuzzy people you see in 10 second news clips.

TSLA maybe eventually doomed. But how do you play that?

  5. Put options of course. Question is timing.....you could lose a lot of premium before the swoon actually occurs.

Exactly. It maybe a cult, but cults can last for a long time. So for now I just sit on the sidelines and wait.

  7. I agree....this could take a while. IMHO the cult will die-off when competitors enter the market.
It's hard to believe that the behemoths like GM and Ford can't eventually make a significant dent in the electrical car market. And what about the Japanese auto makers ?

I would say you should get that order delivered in time. Specially because of the end of year, they need to push out as many cars as they can to meet expectations/guidance, and the backlog isn't that high anyway. There are apps and forums where you can track your VIN...

Also if you are willing to fly to CA and pick it up it could be much sooner...Ask your delivery specialist for a factory pick up...

(the name of the month is in Italian for some reason)

    From a poster:

"Most buyers do not realize that there is a two weeks period from confirmed (initial order) to finalized status(when the order actually is sent to the factory) .
If you call to skip the customary 2 weeks to finalize the order, you'll jump 2 weeks in front of the production queue.
Please note the two weeks period allows for any change of heart in configuration. So if you are absolutely certain of your options, just bypass the waiting period and go straight to production."

    Another poster:

"I just got delivery notification. I was originally contacted for delivery July 29. However, I just got a call last night and they moved it up to July 19. I guess deliveries are picking up speed."
Ordered June 8. Confirmed June 21. Delivery July 19 to Chicago."

For model X, this is the closest tracking thread for Sept deliveries:
