The Cult of Obama

Discussion in 'Politics' started by ZZZzzzzzzz, Feb 7, 2008.

  1. Obama is no cult, the numbers are too big - this is a putsch, a backlash against the past 15 years of Bush Clinton. A huge % of Americans want them gone. The new lows in Bush Congress approval testify to that.

Emotional? You bet. That's what populism is. We've had things like this many times in the nation's history.

Don't like it? Then get the fk out of the way, or go vote for that shitty corrupt pigwoman. And thank your stars men in bad suits and old cars dont come for you at night.

If the sow loses either of TX PA OH - look for calls to "exit gracefully" "for the good" That should be interesting. :p

  2. Emotional=irrational.

Irrational intense emotionally driven hatred of Hillary does not rationally equal well reasoned love of Obama, it creates irrational love of Obama.

    Both are extremist positions.

Once again we see America falling in love with a tall, dark, handsome male stranger...

  3. a strong dislike for hillary is in no way irrational. would you like a refresher course in her misdeeds?

to be honest... there is so much, i don't want to invest the energy required to do a proper job. just google it yourself.

  4. There is an old saying:

"Why trade the devil I do know for the one I don't know."

  5. They didnt kill Vince Foster. That was a the sad tragedy of a man who turned against himself. And Whitewater was two upper middle class couples trying to make a fast buck. Happens a gazillion times in this country and those deals always blow up when one of the marriages doesn't make it.

What I can't understand though, is why the sow's enemies haven't dug up her years pimping for WalMArt and the commodity trade. That commodity thing was always big - nobody turns a 1K or 3K account into 100k (except here at ET :D). This is not old newspaper in my view. The past can and should come back to haunt. Look at Frist - he was told he could not be President because he killed those cats he got from the Humane Society in Boston over 30 years ago.

  6. clinton was very fortunate to have his presidency before web 2.0. honestly, i didn't even attempt to list their deviance, knowing i could not do it justice.

already you fire off two falsehoods without a second thought. i can hear you already when juanita broaddrick is brought up. i don't have the energy to fight you on this right now.

My forecast is Obama gets the Democratic nomination but gets beaten by McCain for the Presidency.
Obama is too much the loose cannon which might go off in any direction and probably will.
As for his idea of attacking Al Quaieda in Pakistan - ridiculous.
Hopefully Congress will insist that they have to at least approve the President's wish to go to war, before war is declared.
The Iraq adventure has nearly bankrupted the USA already, but I doubt that this will deter him though.
Meglomania - he's sure looks a likely candidate.

Obama has political charisma and knows oratory. None of the other candidates do. That's worth a *lot* at the polls. So he can get by with less experience, less coherent policy detail, and so on.

Let's face it, FDR had a disastrous record in the White House, but won 4 terms. Americans have shown repeatedly that they will vote for a dyed in the wool socialist as long as he makes nice speeches.

    My apology to Z10

With his constant rants against the republicans over these many years, and his unflagging support for democrats, I had thought that Z10's affliction was partisan bias in the extreme.

    I was wrong.

Now that the democrats have, in Barack Obama, the most promising candidate they have had in 40 years...Z10 HATES him!!

    :p

    tooooooo funny.
