KC..."I urge you to adopt a policy re covid posting similar to other social media platforms" Are you kidding.... Do you understand the progressive and arbitrary bias from Twitter and others ET is open for all views, respect that....Uneducated views should be easy to defeat especially with that IQ of yours Win the crowd and create the consensus by showing up the postings you don't agree with
Yes, A terrible pain....always there Was it mis-information? Please share your experience so that those on all sides will learn the consequences of what they believe..
Advertisers dictating media policy? I’m sure you didn’t think that one through. In any case, you have provided anecdotal evidence of what is driving media policy in the US today. The lack of an open forum where different ideas can be debated will reduce the accountability of advertisers, the media, and our representatives. This will lead to reduced quality of services or political leadership, ultimately adversely affecting us all. It is fundamental that all views allowed to be presented, except in case of obvious fraud or obvious attempt to harm, be allowed to be debated, and an interested audience allowed to make their own conclusions on what is real. We are in the age of sophisticated marketing techniques that often involve false flags to discredit an opposing side, paid posters, and misleading use of statistics to sell an idea or product. As such, viewers should be and must be the final arbiters, not someone or an entity that by nature has a conflict of interest. I hope ET does not go down the slippery path of censorship. By the way, Calhoun, what points do you consider misinformation and does this misinformation rise to the level where censorship is justified in order to potentially “Save humanity”? Please answer the above question and prepare to engage in a debate instead of seemingly trying to “Puss out” again.
Sorry for your loss. However your loss does not give you authority in of itself to change policies affecting many. For that matter, neither does a parent mourning the loss of a child due to a adverse reaction to a vaccine.
I believe that posting comments that are in direct disagreement with the CDC and other doctors and our government tells us re official policy is wrong. But this is Baron's house to govern as he sees fit. I respect him. And as a sponsor I need to determine if my adspend supports venues that are aligned with my values. If ET permits covid deniers and anti vaxxers to post then I shall cease my sponsorship. Baron what's your final position? I fully agree with the stances taken by the world's top social media platforms, CDC and other responsible professionals.
Because of pro vax governments who are in the majority, the issue I have, they have a job to do but unless we are careful, give them an inch and they'll take a mile. In other words, use covid as a tool to be more authoritarian than is required. People in power often love to control others, that's one reason they are drawn into the role. In Australia there have been demonstrations against excessive lockdowns, not a bad thing imo demonstrating.
FYI. Requesting a policy change is not equivalent to having the authority to change policy. But you knew that already. I see you're back to your old self.
If you know the percentile for two percent I'd be stunned quite frankly. You are like a friend's dog, a shitsu, like most small dogs he barks at any sound outside the room he is in. He's a real idiot, can't tell the difference between outside the room and outside the apartment like bigger dogs. In a similar way, you base things off whats in the room with you, you personally know ten people so Covid not that bad.
