    I am still amazed at how folks define Conservatives as being "right wing". Nothing could be further from the truth. Conservatives are actually mainstream traditionalist centrists. This is in stark contrast to Progressives who are indeed Left Wing. The Progressives run The Democrat Party.

    Birthright citizenship has never been constitutional and the 14th amendment does not make it so. Trump will sign legislation that will reverse the 1965 Congreffional action that began all this nonsense. Can't wait.

    14th amendment states:

    “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

    Not sure what else to interpret here.

    Illegal aliens are not subject to the jurisdiction of The USA and so therefore, their offspring do not have a birthright citizenship. The 14th amendment was a post Civil War amendment intended to make slaves into citizens. It was not written to make illegal alien's children into citizens, or for that matter anyone whose parents are not US Citizens, into citizens.
