First Read: “Maybe it works. Maybe Walker defeats incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., in a state that’s had its recent share of close elections. And maybe political jersey color matters more than anything else — more than qualifications, more than damaging allegations and more than fitness for the job.” “Yet the consequences would be enormous.” “It would mean nothing else matters in our politics besides party ID. It would mean the GOP would support any candidate — no matter the allegations against him — to win control of the U.S. Senate. And it would mean a damaged nominee (who hasn’t been forthcoming about the allegations against him) serving for at least six years in the U.S. Senate.” “It’s a high-risk move for the GOP, putting winning above everything else. It’s also a high-risk move for the state of our politics.”
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told CNN that the Republican Party will continue to back Herschel Walker despite credible allegations that the pro-life politician convinced a woman to abort the child they conceived together. Said McConnell: “I think we’re going to stick with Walker and all the effort we put in through Senate Leadership Fund, we’re going take it all the way to the end.”
Mitch "oh we're going to fill that seat" McConnell being a hypocrite? whaaaa I know you know, just a dig at turtle
Allegations against Republicans are never credible while you can claim elections were rigged for two years without a single piece of evidence.
Allegations against Democrats are usually not reported or looked into further by the media-----or anyone else for that matter.
REPUBLICAN: We support candidates that espouse Christian values. DEMOCRAT: So you support the pastor over the guy with multiple bastard kids and paid for multiple abortions in the Georgia Senator race, right? REPUBLICAN: Are you kidding?? Actually, we'll vote for Walker because he hates the same people as we do.
