The Consequences of Income Inequality

Discussion in 'Politics' started by dbphoenix, Aug 9, 2014.

  1. The whole assumption that this vandalism was a result of income inequality , or put another way, obama's incessant politics of envy and hate anyone more successful than you, is unsupported.

My guess is a more likely perpetrator is some petulant environmentalist wacko. They have made vandalizing and destroying things more or less their symbol. SUV's, scientific experiments, pharmaceutical labs, you name it, there is some group of spoiled children who think it is their right to destroy it to make a statement. They wouldn't want me to be the judge deciding on their punishment.

So it wasn't the vandal's fault? The crime of people having a greater income caused him to do it, eh?

We should have thought of that excuse when Mathew Shepard was killed. The guy who killed him wasn't at fault because homosexuality caused him to do it.

We could have started a thread called 'the consequences of homosexuality'

Irrelevant. It's the benefactors money to begin with. They should decide who gets it. Not the government.

  8. There is no fair share automatically due anyone, but in our ethical country there is a requirement to give your fair share to help others, and yourself, when it's needed. If you don't want to live in an ethical country with the rest of us as we have agreed upon in our social contract, you are free to leave.

I agree. And the charity should be up to us... not some sellouts in washington being lobbied for my money with campaign bribes.
