I agree with Moonlight, Inky, you should have really answered this already. I asked you this yesterday and you responded twice, neither time answering the question. Why all the mind games, Inky??
Okay, here it goes... Why have I not, to this date, focused in on one contract to trade and become a "master of one"...some reasons... 1-wanting to get a good run of winning trades with one contract before I become focused on just it..confidence breeds desire to keep working it 2-concerns that the contract I pick, might not offer the best per tick value, daytrade margin value and might not have the volume needed to scale up 3-honest interest in the different areas: energies, metals, grains, currencies, indexes etc etc....much to choose from 4-on the flip side, beginning to think I do not need to have a "on contract" only focus but perhaps 2 and at most 3,4?...just thinking this out. Thought is to have an arsenal of contracts that you monitor and one should be moving in your direction for a best entry (I do prefer short/sell trades over long/buy trades) summary...I really think that #1 above, a good winning streak will be the best "Desire" injector to focus on that contract... thanks...IncreaseNow
#1 Weak answer....any mkt worth trading is set up so that MOST lose. Those who learn to 'win' consistently learn its idiosyncrasies. You can't do this when you flop around for years and years unfocused. Also, any winning streak you have from the outset needs to be chalked up to luck. If you do it consistently over time, then skill can be attributed to your success. #2 Pick a liquid contract and quit bitchin. EXCUSENOW is more like it! #3 WEAK....spend your weekends reading up on these industries if you have such diverse interests. #4 If you can't trade one mkt successfully, what makes you think that adding more is somehow going to work? Also preferring short over long or long over short is retarded. Do you want to be retarded? Get over your bias and be a man. Also, you can't even follow your own rules....so it doesn't matter if you trade 1 mkt or 100 mkts, you are still going to bomb in this biz. Without discipline, you might as well have a monkey and a dart board.
5-need to find a contract(s) that its my trading style...I prefer trades that are 15 minutes or LESS...the best trades are 5 minutes or LESS
