SouthAmerica: I wonder how long it will take for George W. Bush to realize that he has a very incompetent secretary of state.

His father George Bush Senior should give a call to Jr. - and let him know that he needs a real secretary of state – someone of the stature of a James Baker III.

James Baker III was a heavy-duty diplomat – he was the real thing – in the other hand Condi should stick with playing the piano because as a secretary of state she stinks.

“Saudis won’t sign on to US isolation of Hamas”

    By Anne Gearan.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia refused Wednesday to join an American effort to deny foreign aid to a Palestinian government led by Hamas, the second Arab ally in two days to rebuff Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. ...

I think we may agree on something.

  4. I believe there are two reasons for this.

    1. Our inept president

    2. she's a women and the muslims have zero respect for women.

But reason #1 is the most important reason.

SouthAmerica: If Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice really care about the United States – she should turn in immediately her resignation as secretary of state – and all we can do is hope that George W. Bush will replace her with someone who is competent and understand what diplomacy is all about.

With John Bolton (The Rottweiller) as US ambassador at the UN and Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State – the United States has assigned its foreign diplomacy to a group of incompetent amateurs.

Diplomacy does not work unless backed up by a threat of force and/or economic sanctions.

  7. What do you think happens to Cuba and SA when Castro croaks? Civil war in Cuba maybe? Do you think Chavez and the new president of Bolivar will to continue to pay the bills? Isn't Chavez running a deficit even with oil prices high? Links? just curious.

  8. Diplomacy, if dependent on a threat of force is not diplomacy, it is coercion.

  9. US uses its military only as long as Japan lends it money at %4.5. Since PRC has recently floated a yuan swap, soon Japs will shun US debt in favor of PRC debt. Then, Chinese consumer replaces the American as the world's consumer. Then, US loses its role as world's policeman.

Once US loses all its influence, no country will have any interest in supporting Israel. Then, some Palestinian will drive a nuke into Tel Aviv, and the Middle East problem will finally be solved.

  10. Oh really? Is this before or after the average Chinese consumer makes more than $6200 a year?

Your chain of events is less realistic than your average pop-up book for kids. You truly belong in a thread by SouthAmerica.
