don't those solar panels require some sort of mineral or rare earth? Where does that come from? Does it need to be mined? How are they mining it? Are they using solar power or fossil fuel to get the minerals or rare earth they need to produce solar panels? If we run out of oil will they still be able to produce solar panels? Have you ever seen one of those windmills? Man, it takes a lot of oil to get one set up and running.
It is interesting to note that recent reports also indicate that most of the $1.5 Trillion spent on AGW is completely wasted. Ricter at one point in time made the argument that some of this $1.5 Trillion is green "cross-over" spending for items such as electric cars, solar panels, energy efficiency, etc. that would have occurred even if "climate change" was not an issue. He had a valid point - but sadly the numbers don't support his assertion. A further break-down of the numbers show that most of $1.5 Trillion is spend solely on items to "fight" AGW - items such as carbon markets, CO2 smoke-stack scrubbers (which are worthless for solid particle pollution control), "climate-change" consulting, political lobbying and other purposes solely focused on AGW that have no cross-over value. Sadly a good portion of the wasted money is "political" and "government" associated - meaning that it is effectively coming out of the tax-payers pocket.
And we have the Global Warming profiteers like Al Gore and Elon Musk who rake in 100s of millions and then claim they are trying to help those in poverty. They are perhaps the biggest frauds of all.
Oh THAT Elon Musk! He's even cooler than Gore. I guess he another boogeyman for the moron right huh? That's why you know his name so well. Those cars are amazing. 0-60 in three seconds.
