I hope your entry into the Market wasn't the signal that triggered Black Monday, LOL. Congrats on being a Market survivor
Hey Bill, would you mind not editing the predictions? Nice call on the up, although the market closed at -1 and your prediction was at +3, so technically, a flat. Just keeping you honest....
Steady now ... gazing into my crystal ball .... I see the S&P closing 10+ points lower tommorow 7/27.
There was a very tradable Up-trend in the afternoon, so saying that it was flat isn't totally accurate. You can't trade a flat call, so that would not have been the best call, I made money twice today. The chrystal ball nailed this mornings down-trend, and nailed the afternoon rally, even though it backed off at the close. Rennick out
Watch your manners, this is the Journals Forum. What were you born in a barn or something. Tuck your shirt in and sit up straight, this ain't the Trading Forum, moron!!! ps. don't try to take all the credit for running rubberbird out of town, I organized the lynch mob.
THURSDAY, 7-27-06 1:45 pm Dow +17 As the lights dim, the door opens and through a rolling wall of fog the Amazing Rennick glides (without moving his feet) into position and is hovering in front of the "Chrystal Ball",, SILENCE!!! "I see the averages returning to the upper limits of todays tight range. Look for the Dow to close UP 60 points (plus or minus 15 points). That is all" The Amazing One folds arms across his chest and glides backwards out of the room as the door shuts by itself and the fog sucks out under the closed door. The Amazing Rennick has spoken
The actual Chrystal Ball, not Rennicks interpretation called for a FLAT Close, which is very much what occured today. Where I went wrong was assuming that meant flat from the 1 pm level which at the time was up 60 points. A look at the chart below shows the tight range from 2 pm till the close. I'm new at this market timing stuff, from now on I'll relay the actual call, not my version.
