MON. 8/21 1:40 pm Dow-38 Rennick has taken a good look into the "Mighty Chrystal Ball" using both eyeballs, then alternating each eye. Not satisfied he goes into goes into his junk drawer and finds a pair of reading glasses Fred G. Sanford style. One more look and he now grabs for the microphone. The mystical Orb is saying that the Averages will spend the afternoon session calmly moving in a tight range as Flat action is seen. The averages should end near current levels. Rennick secretly hopes for a drift lower so he hits his sell order. Meanwhile he will go see what Mrs Rennick has cooking in the oven. The Amazing One has spoken
I just did my update as fast as I could and it took 15 minutes. You can see what he's up against. But really, those numbers are just snapshots of where the market is at the time. A good way to tell if a call was good is to simply look at a chart. ps. Hey guys, lets be careful about being specific in regards to the "Chrystal Ball". We don't want to raise the eyebrow of the friendly Mod so high that he hits the delete button.
What a novel idea. Seriously guys, if this journal is going to continue the posts will need to remain generic (with regards to the commercial website). Thanks.
hey reniick, today our little "ball" hit another bullseye. i went short at the open and just barely missed hitting my sell order at noon. i took a look and there isnt any economic data being released tuesday. so with a huge pair i'm going overnite with this trade. fingers crossed that we get some selloff in the morning. question, is there any carryover effect to the next opening for the previous days call. whats the record for the "ball" on this.
I'm with you caddy, same situation. Came within a whisker, and am also going overnite. No eco news tommorrow. The Balls record for extending a call is supposed to be high(not sure how high) as long as "news" doesn't get in the way. The payoff can be big, thus the higher risk Rennick
End of day review: The "Ball" called for WEAK Market action in the morning, and for FLAT Market action in the afternoon with the Averages closing near update levels. A look at the chart below will show that the morning session remained weak and ended at 12 pm right at the lows of the day. For the afternoon FLAT call, the level of the Dow was -38 at 1:45 pm and closed at -36 after a very flat and boring session. That's about as Flat as it gets and another good day for the "Chrystal Ball". Take a look at the chart, it tells the story better than I. Rennick
Good luck with those overnights, sleep tight and try not to watch Bloomberg all night. LOL, been there. By the way, nice "BALL" call...again. An accurate 'don't trade call I believe is the best of all. MS
TUES. 8/22 1:30 pm Dow+8 A nervous looking Rennick still holding his overnite short position slowly approaches the Mighty "Chrystal Ball". Hoping it shows what he wants to see, he circles it twice and finally works up the courage to take a look. With bugged out eyes Rennick belts out a "HOOHAA"( like Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, 1994) then does a tremendous Hitch Kick before sliding knees first ( Tom Cruise in Risky Business, 1989) across the floor to the entertainment center. He grabs a Rick James tape and sticks it into his 8 track player. "Give it to me " is now blaring through the speakers. An embarassed Mrs. Rennick rushes to the podium and grabs the mic." I don't know what has gotten into my William. That fool is over there doing the Funky Chicken, wait now he's doing the Mashed Potato, there he go's with the running man. Here that maniac comes Moon walking to the microphone. Willie, thats supposed to our honeymoon song, not to be played to all these strangers." A winded Rennick grabs the mic from one angry woman and will finally speak "sorry guys, but that round thing on the table just showed me a WEAK afternoon session. Matter of fact it's already shot down 30 points(now it's -24 Dow) since Rick James started playing" A relieved Rennick will now retreat to his trading room to see if he hit the sell order on his overnite puts. Rennick needing a rest... out ps. it's now 1:52, dow -32
that call cracked me up,what the hells a hitch kick. while you were doing the running man i hit my sell order, i'm guessin you did too. i also sold what was hopefully a countertrend by entering a put position around 2:30. i'm hoping the weak "ball" call has some legs to it sidekick caddy out
