This is laughable being that overall globally the prevailing jetstream winds are from west to east in the Northern hemisphere -- despite some local differences and trade wind regions.

Does the U.S. launch these balloons -- have them fly across the Atlantic, fly across Europe, fly across the Middle East, then fly across India before reaching China? That's quite a journey.

No, we have lot of bases, and better propulsion and gps system.

Amusing that China is only making these claims now -- after they were caught launching balloons to spy on other countries. Does China have any evidence of their claims? You know -- like debris from a balloon including all the electronics, etc.

Also seeing that -- unlike China -- the U.S. has a complete military satellite surveillance systems for both images and electronics -- and does not need to use low tech balloons to get the information they seek.

China’s Top Airship Scientist Promoted Program to Watch the World From Above

In 2020, a Chinese balloon made a full circumnavigation of the globe and was safely retrieved, a pioneering feat, EMAST said. In the following year, the team operated two of the balloons in the skies simultaneously, a first for the project.

It likened the planned network to Starlink, the system of small, low-orbiting satellites operated by SpaceX. Starlink has provided communications support to Ukrainian forces fighting Russian invaders. By 2028, EMAST said, it hoped to “complete a global near-space information network,” but did not elaborate on what that meant.

dual use, what isn't? But NYT is naming names.

I would not be surprised if this ends up being the clown shop that it is. The first shooting, atleast, they have the debris from the balloon? The succeeding shootings, they do not have any debris? They should post haste show it otherwise, we have to assume it is fake news. Could this be a distraction to what is happening to Ukraine and efforts to investigate Hunter Biden? You cannot put it past the Democrats to pull these crazy stunts.

  8. One known balloon, three UFO's to date. Pilots saying, they could see no propulsion system on the last object shot down. No evidence gathered from wreckage from UFO's while wreckage was obtained within a few hours of the balloon shot down.
Recalibration of radar now showing multiple objects overhead which have gone undetected for years, probably decades. Government scrambling in a state of chaos to provide some reasonable explanation. Any way you slice it, not a good look.

I have questions for both countries:

For the Chinese: If the balloons were all weather balloons and civilian balloons, WHY didn't you give the heads-up and inform the USA like how you informed the Latin American countries with the third balloon that was wafting to Latin America? You had TWO balloons "wafting" over to the United States due to "strong wind", so if you missed the first one, why didn't you give the heads-up for the second one? And apparently there was a third one that was "wafting" toward the Canadian border that the US has shot down, so for two balloons now that you know you can't control, why again you didn't send any heads-up to either the Canadian government or the US government??

For the USA: Apparently, the Chinese has been sending balloons "overseeing" the USA sky for the past 10 years, WHY are we hearing about it now? WHY are you shooting them down now all of sudden but not before??

There is a lot s*** that neither of these two countries are telling us, hiding behind their "classified" label thinking "you can't handle the truth". Well with how things are escalating, sooner or later we will have to face the "truth", might as well let us have it now.
