I’m assuming you’re not familiar, but DRIP stands for Dividend ReInvestment Program — it means the dividends are automatically used to buy more shares.

And if we’re comparing to the broader market, then DRIP absolutely has to be included — because that’s how compounding works.

With DRIP factored in, the MSTY position grows to $113,896.50 from a $100K start — so yes, even in the "worst case," you’re actually up.

 

Nope..your whole point is about the INCOME..so you can't have that and DRIP too. You'll just have to settle for your 6k LOSS

 

Well, if we’re comparing to the broader market (SPY), you’re basically right back where you started if you bought in November — so that’s a pretty sad brag.

Meanwhile, MSTY is up $13K with DRIP factored in.
Glad we finally agree that MSTY outperformed the broader market.

Btw I would rather have 43k in my pocket and be down 6k on paper than flat in SPY lol.
