Yes, he had NOT crossed the border. He inadvertently pulled into a border crossing checkpoint. The Mexican border personnel should have but would not let him turn around.

He wasn't trying to clear customs moron. He had no intention of driving into Mexico. In fact he had just earlier that evening parked his vehicle on the US side. Walked into Mexico, later walked back into the US. And while attempting to drive away got turned around and unintentionally drove up to a Mexican vehicle border crossing. The poor signage responsible for his mistake was confusing and has since been changed.

Precisely, not one of the leftist publication's reporters were at the scene when it happened. NOT one.

Weston family fights on for Marine Corps reservist jailed in Mexico
    Sun-Sentinel - ‎8 hours ago‎
After Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested in Mexico more than four months ago after he crossed the border with possession of guns and ammunition, his mother in Weston thought he would soon be freed when he explained his state of confusion.

No mention is made of the fact that he appears to suffer from terminal stupid.

That happened to me about thirty years ago in Brownsville, Tx. I meant to park the car and walk across the border and I got stuck in a line and had to drive across, then when I came back I got stopped and I thought they were going to tear my car apart looking for drugs or something.

I witnessed it while crossing at San Ysidro. A guy started freaking out and got out of his car. Obviously that didn't raise any flags. Anyway, nobody would do that.... even if you wanted to off some Mex nationals. The poor kid literally made a wrong turn.

Why else would you park your truck (previous crossing) and walk across? Obviously to avoid bringing his gear into Mex. Why was he carrying all that gear? Probably leaves it in his truck to hit the range. I probably shoot 300-400 each range-session.

  8. You have all the sympathy in the world for illegal immigrants or black gangbangers in neighborhoods you would never even drive through. But an American who risked his life for his country? Not so much. You mock him.

Our idiot president released five hardened terrorists to get a deserter back but won't pick up the phone to help this guy. What's wrong with liberals?

I don't recall saying that I was sympathetic toward black gangbangers nor illegal immigrants who drive through border checkpoints in pickups loaded with weapons. Perhaps you could point the way.
