  2. No, the rest of the world waits for us to show the way and will follow, but Donny the dummy is doing nothing and actually wants to reverse the progress. Because he's an idiot.

  3. No it's not, it would be revenue neutral and it's an economic tool.

  4. Your blame America, hate America, coupled with a case of TDS prevents you from accepting reality. The United States has been leading for 50 plus years. China, India and Russia are major polluters and without their full efforts any real progress will be unrealized. Admittedly I am not sold on man being the primary driver of this very mild by comparison climate shift we are experiencing, and I'm certainly not convinced of the end of the world is at hand claims being made by the Al Gore cultists, but anyone who thinks this a very serious problem and then blows off the China problem as if it's no big deal cannot be taken seriously. It's in the same realm as being upset with Trump while pretending Clinton is pure as the driven snow.

  5. and thinking that doing the right thing requires others to do it first is the kind of stupid short sighted
thinking we have come to expect from the right.

  7. Do you even think before you post your idiocy? You say that expecting others to do something first is stupid while saying America should be the first to do something about climate change.:banghead:
Again, now read this real slooooooow, America has been first and leading the way on this issue for DECADES. Back to the topic of nuclear. It would seem you'd rather tax old dirty coal power generation than actually "progress" towards the future which should be nuclear, and taxing people is what we have come to expect from the left as they offer up another nonsense idea to real problems. Like the Anti-fascist fascist, you are the anti progress progressive. I'm done with ya, go fix a furnace or something.

  8. The US is doing next to nothing. Other countries are doing far more. It's only because of economics that it is doing anything. Donny Dumbo refuses to even acknowledge the problem and is reversing course on any meaningful action.

On August 4, 2017, the Trump administration delivered an official notice to the United Nations that the U.S. intends to withdraw from the Paris Agreement as soon as it is legally eligible to do so.[78]

He wants to roll back fleet efficiency standards.

Nuclear may be economically smart, or not, but let the capitalist markets decide. They are good for that. But for that to work fossil fuels need to be taxed to reflect their true cost of use. I do think that nuclear is probably necessary to get us over the hump until fusion comes on line.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone pro c02 reduction say China is not a major emitter of emissions. It's way lower per capita than the US though.
