    Funny! And so true.

I'm thinking that as a single individual he probably had more negative impact on the planet than anyone in history with the exception of Hitler.

Massive wealth destruction and countless useless casualties.

I give him credit for at least enough smarts to not show his face in public again.

  2. Not so funny.

When the history of America is written, Odumbo will be regarded as having caused 10 TIMES more damage to America than "'Lil Napoleon Bush".

Looks like most people don't know history, not very surprising...

Kennedy INHERITED the attack (from the previous president) and probably would have never made the plans in the first place.

Putting missiles in Turkey gave the idea to the Russians. So you can figure out who started the confrontation.
And by the time the Turkish missiles were removed*, they started to be obsolete. Nevertheless, morally that was the right move...

    * They asked the Soviets to keep quiet about the deal, to save face at home and look like the winner of the crises...

Summary of the CMC for Dummies: Country A puts attack weapons close to the capital of country B. Country B does a similar action in return. Crises ensues. As a solution to the crises in a deal, BOTH countries withdraw their attack weapons. Winner: The world....

Extra point if you can correctly identify country A and B.

The bottom line is the Kennedy's tried to do the Dynasty thing and couldn't do it.

The Bush Family is an American Dynasty.

Brother Wild, why do you keep trying to flaunt your belief that the Bush family is an American Dynasty?
Do you believe in career politicians?
Personally, I believe career politicians have contributed mightily to the downfall of the USA.
This belief you seem to hold isn't anything to be proud of, IMO.

Its not career politicians. First the American people wanted the leadership of George HW Bush.

Then the Americans wanted the leadership of George W Bush and they elected him. The liked GWB's leadership so much that they re-elected him.

Now it looks like the next generation of greatness is emerging.

Lets not forget Jeb Bush. He is extremely popular and he may get the chance to shine on the big stage also.

You are witnessing history here my friends. The dynasty of an American family. In 100 years, American's will look back in awe of this legacy. The years 1980 through at least 2008 will be considered the years of the Bush Dynasty. It looks like another generation is stepping up, so I am quite certain the legacy does not end in 2008.

    WTF?

    Are you mad?

The whole world was laughing at him because he was a brainless, drunk, coke fiend moron who couldnt string a sentence together on his own.

He brought great shame on the US with his bumblings.

World opinion of the USA was never so low as when he was in charge.

Note - This is NOT a democrat v republican thing, it's clown v competent person thing.

Unfortunately, Romney looks to be a clown as well.

    Yeah, YOU.

JAN 28, 1961: Kennedy receives his first briefing as President on the Cuban operation...
After hearing the estimate of the Defense Department... President Kennedy authorizes:

    1) A continuation and accentuation of current activities of the Central Intelligence Agency, Including increased propaganda, increased political action and increased sabotage. Continued overflights for these purposes were specifically authorized; 2)The Defense Department, with CIA, will review proposals for active deployment of anti?Castro Cuban forces on Cuban territory, and the results of this analysis will be promptly reported to the President; 3) The Department of State will prepare a concrete proposal for action with other Latin?American countries to isolate the Castro regime and to bring against it the judgment of the Organization of American States.

He inherited the tensions between the US and Cuba, not the invasion.

MAR 16, 1961: At 4:15 p.m., Dulles and Bissell present President Kennedy with three alternative plans for the Cuban operation. His national security adviser reports that the CIA “has done a remarkable job of reframing the landing plan so as to make it unspectacular and quiet, and plausibly Cuban in its essentials,” and has briefed Kennedy in advance on the proposals.

APR 5 1961 At a meeting at the White House between the President, Secretary of Defense McNamara, General Lemnitzer, Dulles, Bissell, and General Cabell it is agreed that the rules of engagement should definitely spell out the President's requirement that the operation be aborted if United States forces were required to protect the Brigade's ships from damage or capture....
