Musk is on record saying he prefers Desantis over Trump.

He would obviously like to increase activity on twitter over the next couple of years. And Trump would do that, if he came back which isn't certain.

Musk has got rid of the dead weight and kept the people who do the real work, the engineers.

The arrival of Elon Musk to Twitter has meant full chaos. From (failed) paid Twitter verification to the reinstatement of accounts run by bigots to the layoffs of hundreds, Musk’s drastic changes to the platform have caused several celebrities to say goodbye to the platform......

Here’s a growing list of celebrities who’ve decided to no longer use Twitter… all because of Musk.......

Looks like the only employees left are H1-B Visa people who can't leave the company otherwise they will be deported.

By the way over 75% of Twitter's engineers are no longer with the company. This includes nearly all of their senior architects who know the platform in detail. Let that sink in.

No big deal. I have worked at large corporates where they fired the whole team and got new teams in to take over top to bottom, maintaing the legacy codebase until it was rewritten.
Senior Architects are dead weight/overhead mostly, all replaceable. This isn't rocket science (space x), it is a website.

You do realize that Twitter is already falling apart with many features not working and outages across the globe.

    In regards to complexity...

Twitter Is Not Rocket Science—It’s Harder
Elon Musk wants to run Twitter like SpaceX. But human behavior will make it much more difficult

It will be fine in the end, Musk deliberately took it private, he knew the restructuring would be painful.

He is used to the pain, many of his first rockets blew up costing him $100 million each time.

Shitty websites are not more complex than docking with the international space station or creating trillion dollar electric car company pretty much from scratch.

There are many websites around that have the complexity of Twitter. The problems and complexity issues are all well known.

$100 million for a launch is nothing. Musk has lost $500 million per day in personal wealth over the past year due to his poor decisions.
