Intrade is a direct correlation to the stock market, that's about it. If anyone here thinks the stock market is the only indicator of which an incumbent will be re-elected, then...well, I honestly have no words left for you.

  2. Maybe I can lay off my straight up bets. No need to, but a guaranteed win.

  3. Catastrophic. No Hope of recovery. So very sad you feel that way. It's pretty much a lock that Obama will win, and I don't see any catastrophe or world ending stuff in the next 4 years, with either candidate. If you're not just politicizing, I really feel bad for you. If it's just American politics, then no big deal.

To fall for all the Socialist, Communist, Racist, Birther and Kenyan crap is above most Americans IMO.

The Sun will rise in the East, America will still be the strongest power on Earth, in 4 more and 20 more years, regardless of stupid political outcomes.

  5. In non politcal elections they can be.I made a bet that The Supreme Court would uphold Obamacare even though Intrade had it 75 % that they wouldn't

I wouldn't bet against Intrade in a political election though

I'm watching Romney speak right now on TV to a group of his True Believers. To all the Rightsters for whom appearances are everything, I can tell you Romney does not have presidential presence. He doesn't even know how to act naturally. After all these years, he's still stiff as a board on stage with the occasional awkward gestures. And that's just appearances. His content isn't doing him any favors either.
