    Let's see the text....

EXCLUSIVE: 'They have doctors and chefs - they're living better than us!' Angry Texas residents tell how the Biden administration is housing over 500 migrant youths at an all-inclusive $33m 'man camp' just feet away from their homes
    • About 500 migrant youths are being housed at a 'man camp' in Midland, Texas that was constructed in 2012 to temporarily house workers in the oil industry
    • Shon Crabtree, 42, lives across the street from the Federal Government's newest unaccompanied minor immigration detention facility and is clearly disgruntled
    • 'I'm worried about some of them escaping and coming to my house and holding my family hostage until they get what they want or taking a vehicle. We are scared,' Crabtree told DailyMail.com
    • The migrant children, who appear to be 12-17 years in age, are mainly from Central America
    • DailyMail.com visited the camp where there is a small wooden 4 ft. fence that surrounds the property with federal police vehicles positioned outside of the facility on the roadway 24 hours a day
    • According to their website, Cotton Logistics opened their Midland facility in 2012 and has 700 beds. The man camps are built like all-inclusive hotels with five-star hospitality, wireless internet and cable TV
    • Officials say that there are now more than 14,000 migrant youths being held in federal custody - more than three times the largest number of children held under the previous administration

    My thoughts - WOW!

  4. Biden and now the progressives favor a policy toward the northern triangle countries that can only be described as "retro" even though they recycle it as a progressive idea. ie. the notion that what we should be doing is funding and developing all those countries so that life will be better there and they will not have a reason to come to the U.S.

We have done that for decades and decades and decades. And unless we develop all of central and south america all the way from El Paso down to Tierra del Fuego they just keep coming and coming and their governments and cartels just get most of the money. In the end. You have to just stop them from coming and entering the country. If Trump and Biden need to continue to just flat out pay mexico in some form to keep them from reaching this country, then probably that is the way to go. Otherwise you will never live long enough to see the day when there are not populations to the south of us and in the rest of the world to cause them to cross that border. Not gonna happen. We have given some of those countries enough money to put everyone up in the Hilton for the rest of their lives.

But I am just flapping my gums. Kamala is off to be the first one to address the root causes of why people come unlike all the barbarians before her who were not woke enough to think of that. Round and round we go. Oh, and not to worry about all those kids and how they are going to ever resolve all of that. Everyone- both kids and adults- will just be released into the community. They are already doing it with the adults so the adults do not necessarily need to use kids now to get in.

Being Californian, Skankala will most likely want to build high speed rail to El Salvador. It's how they roll.

    More WOW!

Imagine what the toilets will look like. Assuming there's water. In California, you never know when you're gonna run out.

EXCLUSIVE: 'I consider it human trafficking.' California foster parents are being asked to take in '26 or more' migrant children as social services scramble to place a 'record number' of unaccompanied minors crossing the border
    • Foster parents Travis and Sharla Kall received a voicemail from the Community Care Licensing Division asking how many available beds they have for unaccompanied migrant youths
    • 'Usually the maximum amount of children you are allowed to foster at any one time is six,' Travis told DailyMail.com
    • The couple are currently fostering two four-month-old twins while also caring for their six-year-old biological twins
    • The CCLD said in an email they are 'trying to address the needs of a record number of unaccompanied children who are arriving from Central America'
    • The organization said the migrant children 'are escaping impossible situations such as poverty, violence and natural disasters'
    • Travis, who along with his wife runs a non-profit fighting against human trafficking in California, believes this is just the tip of a sinister iceberg

  9. It's a dicey move. It gives Joe the appearance of doing something: ie. I am appointing Kamala to do it. Okay for the week I guess. But weeks do end.

It is definitely a double edged sword for Kamala. It gives her a high profile for her future plans but she does not do well under the microscope. Not sure that assigning her a no-win task will help. She is good at sitting in a Senate seat and lambasting others. But when she is on the other hand, she degenerates into cackles and other inappropriate appearances fairly quickly.

Although Biden would like to word it otherwise, he is leaning toward re-instating Trump's remain in Mexico to claim asylum policy and leaning toward giving Mexico goodies in the form of trade and vaccine deals, also Trumpian. Joe should keep doing that. It is not the progressive approach but he and Skank will need to work that out.

Hundreds of migrant kids with positive COVID-19 tests held in shelters
    https://www.axios.com/border-crisis-migrant-children-covid-ae67b4b8-938d-4eb7-8593-f639bdba5b22.html

Nearly 2,900 unaccompanied minors tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival at U.S. government shelters over the past year — including around 300 currently in the system — a Department of Health and Human Services official tells Axios.

The big picture: The numbers highlight the staggering challenges in trying to manage a child migration crisis during a pandemic, while weighing human rights and child welfare concerns against immigration laws.

Details: Of the unaccompanied children currently in shelters, only about 3% are currently in isolation after testing positive when they arrived, according to the latest statistics provided to Axios.
    • About 7.4% of tests given to unaccompanied minors in the past year turned out positive, according to HHS' stats.
    • "The positivity rate in general is what was anticipated, and planning has resulted in robust response," HHS spokesperson Mark Weber told Axios. There are more than 200 facilities in 22 states.
    • But the positivity rate has been higher — about 10% — at the Carrizo Springs shelter in Texas, opened last month as the first overflow shelter to be used by the Biden administration.
    • Youth are tested upon arrival, Weber said, and those who test positive are taken to a negative-pressure medical isolation bed onsite and get around-the-clock care. Carrizo Springs has 180 nurses, doctors and medical personnel, 12 epidemiologists, and two public health experts.
By the numbers: Since March 24, 2020, 38,932 COVID-19 viral tests were conducted for unaccompanied children entering facilities.
    • There were 2,897 lab-confirmed COVID-19 tests for unaccompanied children in that time period — and 2,578 have recovered and were moved out of medical isolation — according to HHS.
    • Currently, 319 unaccompanied children are in medical isolation, while government data obtained by Axios puts the current number of kids in HHS shelters at more than 11,500.
What we're watching: After crossing the border, unaccompanied minors are first placed in border patrol stations for processing. Customs and Border Protection does not test migrants while in their custody, relying on local public health agencies, nongovernmental organizations and HHS.
    • Minors are only legally supposed to be held for a maximum of 72 hours in the border stations, but due to backlogs in HHS' system of shelters, thousands have been recently held longer than that.
    • Many border facilities are far beyond their pandemic capacity, and photos first reported by Axios reveal crowded, makeshift conditions in at least one temporary overflow shelter.
Go deeper: Houston Public Media has details on the situation in Texas.
