Good Luck!! I hope you come in first! Thanks for sharing! I'm always curious to know how others are doing. I'm not going to share mine, although I am in some profit in each category I'm trading....but that could definitely change before the end of the week! What I found interesting is that yesterday, in just about every one of the categories, there were about as many traders in profit as in losses. That changed today on the couple categories that I checked. Today they began to show more in losses than in profits. If 95% of most traders are not profitable traders, then you'd think by the end of the week there would be more of a polarization showing far less with profits and most with losses.
Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, some of the leaders of the first 2 days have gone down in ranking significantly. However, there are new leaders that popped up with only 6 trades? Could be using the multiple emails method I mentioned. Anyway, glad to be still positive (capital preservation).
Nice! It's good to see you're consistently profitable. Yeah, 6 trades isn't a lot for making so much money. I wonder if they are swing trading? Or like you said, using multiple emails. I'm still positive overall though now a little down in one category. I'm hoping to end the week with each category in profits. I'm trading 3. I timed how long it takes to pull up the order box and enter a trade. It was 27 seconds. And that's without filling out anything unnecessary, like the trade journal pop up. A lot can happen in 27 seconds. I've been having it up and ready to go, but since I use a stop loss and target and those don't adjust with price movement, I have to re-enter them just before submitting, and so it still takes a while. Very hard to just go for a couple ticks.
After trading for 1 to 2 hrs a day, cannot even enter the top 100. Hard to imagine if those leaders could actually make just half of their performance in real accounts. They can be better than Larry William whose tournament record was using real money. https://www.worldtopinvestors.com/larry-williams-investor-profile/
You did well! Yeah, but I guess we'll never know. If someone can make money in demo, they might be able to make it with a live account. If they can't make it in demo, then not likely they'll make it with real money. Lots of traders are in the negative. Wonder how many of them make money consistently with a real account. I'm still overall positive. Two categories have profits and one does not. The challenge has been a good learning experience. I've tried things I wouldn't normally do and traded hours I wouldn't normally trade, and used stop loss sizes I wouldn't normally use...and lost and made money I wouldn't normally lose or make and was made to remember there are reasons I don't normally do those things. I tried the micro CL for the first time this week and so far like it. Wouldn't have have even thought about it except for the challenge.
Nice of you to inform traders about this challenge. It has been interesting to watch the top few leaders still trying so hard to improve their returns when all they had to do was to stop trading at $48k to remain at the top. The harder you try, the worse it becomes.
Thanks for sharing how you did. I think it's helpful to see how other traders do with trading. For the Overall category, using the rankings on the Excel spreadsheet, there were 726 traders that were profitable out of 1,293 total participants that traded. So, 56% of the traders were profitable. I did not expect to see more winners than losers.
