The Biden-Harris campaign once agains avoids answering on court packing at VP debate

  1. Why should she show her hand? Because people care about the issue and want to know. It’s an important issue that can have major effects. People don’t like non-answers. I guarantee that independents are extremely turned off by her response which sucked. Take a stand and live with it. That kind of politician dodge is probably why Clinton lost in the first place.

  2. Can't even consider Garland several months before the election, but can go forward with Coney Barrett while people are already voting...

  3. Then they must HATE Pence.

  4. No. The matter is still in play. Doesn't mean they will do it. You can read it any way you like. Civility is good. But not always with barbarians. A direct answer gives Trump something for free. Acquiescence just makes Trump/Pence/McConnel et al bolder. There is no upside.

  5. I’m saying independents don’t like non-answers like that. The public is against court packing based on a recent poll I saw. Yes, civility polls higher with moderates than escalating a tit for tat. If the Dems overreach they will guarantee that they lose Congress again in one term.

The court would gain legitimacy because presumably justices would be appointed who more accurately reflect the views of the general public.

Better that than get no bills passed in 4 or 8 years because corporate America bought SCOTUS
