Disapproval higher than approval=lose Approval higher than disapproval=win 100% correct for over 60 years
Yet Fox News has highlighted polls twice in the last 2 hours. They are useless and discredited according to you though.
Fox “News” causes brain rot, I suspect. Try the new guys, OANN. From what little I saw, they used journalistic principles, unlike the mainstream propaganda outlets. Back to fake polls designed to influence elections: Polls are supposed to have statistical validity, hence their quoted margin of error. Polls showed Trump was decisively losing the election by 600 to 700 basis points, yet he only lost, under controversial circumstances, in five swing states less than .1%. This is evidence fake polls cost Trump his reelection, as multiple studies have shown the “Bandwagon effect” to benefit the poll leader by 20 to 250 basis points, depending on the study. I have to wonder how big of a landslide Trump would have won if the media was fair and balanced, polls reflected Trump’s true popularity, and there were no extensive election irregularities. However, it is all water under the bridge at this point. Biden is President and hopefully he will serve the American people, all the American people as well as, or even better than Trump would have done.
Propaganda and opinions will fade from our memory, but sadly for his family and descendants the facts will remain. He will be remembered as the Worst President in U.S. History during the Republic's first 234 years. Hopefully there will be many more centuries added to that record. At this point, the probability that he may end his days in Federal Prison, while not great, is still significant.
These polls are not useless. They provide an accurate window into the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the 2021 Republican party.
Piezoe, given your rampant and totally full-blown level of Trump Derangement Syndrome the last 4 or 5 years, I'm curious - can you speak to why the Republican Party is morally and intellectually bankrupt because of the list of candidates here? I mean specific reasons to the candidates. Other than "I just hate everyone on the right". I suppose that is an acceptable answer, too. Or is it just the 68% graphic you're taking umbrage with?
You wrote this on Jan 18th, two days before the inauguration. It somewhat describes the situation as it existed in the country on Jan 18th. By now, March 1st, it must stand as one of your least prophetic posts, and perhaps one of, if not the least, prophetic, in multiple ways, posts ever in this ET Forum.
I think he's pretty damned close with what's been going on. Of course, if you're living under a rock, or taking MSNBC intravenously you wouldn't think so.
I also hope that Biden will serve the American people. So far he has served the Chinese, Iranian, and Mexican people through his various proposals. Probably America is on his list somewhere.
